  • Smooth and compact
Size: 16 ines
The Zecti Carbon Fiber Slider is very well built and makes your shots smooth as silk. In addition to the slider, a nondescript carrying bag and screw hole adapter to fit either 1/4 or 3/8” camera mounts comes included. Other than that, it is pretty simple to use. There are two carbon fiber tracks for the slider to glide on, allowing up to 15.7” of movement, which is long enough for most cases. A red nob adjusts the amount of friction and a bubble level insures the slider is level. It supported my Sony a7r II with a lens just fine (around 3 pounds) and the movement felt very smooth. There are four adjustable rubber legs so the slider can be placed directly on a table or the slider itself can be attached to a tripod, which may be helpful for more front-heavy setups. The only negative is that the screw on the plate for where your camera attaches is not the twisting kind, meaning I have to twist my camera onto the slider. I bought a quick release plate to alleviate this minor annoyance. Overall, this is a very well-built slider and is compact enough to travel with. ... show more

  • Versatile, well built, easy to use, a good value
Size: 16 ines
The media could not be loaded. I needed to hang a camera just above the top of a chessboard for a close-up "inspection" of pawns. Was pleased to discover this device flips over and lets you suspend a camera underneath. Even better -- the adjustable feet may be removed and inserted on the other side for full level control and a stable seating. The video shows the result, albeit with my beginner slide technique showing just-out-of-the-box hesitations. It's trickier to slide underneath because there's just a tiny spot to grab on the camera mount that avoids bumping into the center brace/mount. Much easier to slide smoothly in the default position of camera-on-top. The slider is very well constructed, feels and looks solid, and will be a useful piece of kit for these unusual close-up requirements. ... show more

  • Strong Yet Light Weight
I purchased this slider for time lapse photography. My 48” DIY slider weighs 8 lbs. and is challenging to carry in the mountains. This slider is super lightweight and fits into a backpack (Or straps to the outside). I appreciate the 18 lb. capacity because my Syrp Genie 3-axis setup and camera weigh 10lbs. Mounted on a sturdy tripod there is no discernible flex in the carbon fiber rods from end to end. With the 24” length the functional slider distance is actually 18”. I made a slight modification using the 1/4” hole on each end to mount a small strip of aluminum to raise the ropes for the Genie unit up an inch for a smoother glide near the ends. My hope is this slider is durable over long term use. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • High quality matierals and very smooth.
Size: 16 ines
I've been looking for a slider for a while now - specifically to take in the outdoors backpacking and kayaking. The small size of this slider was a big plus for me - small footprint and easily fits in even a day pack. I thought maybe the swivel head in the pictures would be included, but it was not - you get the slider, 1/4-20 to 3/8 adapter, the slider, and carrying case. However, the slider pairs beautifully with a good fluid video head. I have the Yuengteng head (which I highly recommend), and it really adds a lot of capability to this slider. I was really impressed with the quality of materials used. The camera plate and frame supports are CNC aluminum in matte black finish. The rods are what appears to be carbon fiber, and the adjustable feet have anti-slide rubber feet with knurled aluminum stops. The camera plate slides on the rods using plastic rollers, which do their job and make a very smooth slide. My biggest issue with the slider is getting your camera on the plate. There is no quick-release plate, and the threads do not have a thumb/screwdirver slot on the back to put it in your camera. This requires you to spin either the entire slider or your camera around to mount it. I have a strap on my camera, so it gets annoying. However, adding your own video head/ release plate makes taking your camera on and off much easier. Though the slide distance is relatively short, you could conceivable get some 16mm rod and make the slider whatever length you could want! Additionally, another modification that would be useful would be adding an automated (servo) pulley system. There are threaded inserts on the end pieces where such a thing could be mounted. Overall, if you're looking for a small camera slider that conveniently packs away, I would definitely recommend this one. It seems robust, smooth, and rigid, and performing the mentioned modifications would make it even better! Pros: - Packability - Relatively light weight - High quality materials Cons: - Short slide length - No quick release plate - ... show more

  • Lightweight and effective
Size: 16 ines
There is no remote control and i didnt expect there to be. Aside from that, this is an excellent slider. It is very lightweight and quite adaptable to any situation you put it in. The size is just enough to do 80% of the b-roll shots you are looking for to give a subtle movement. Ball bearing rollers are smooth as silk and very quiet. The tension system work quite well to stop it from rolling in a hurry although it cannot be used to slow a descent of the camera. If you are considering this, buy it. You wont be disappointed especially if its your first slider. ... show more

  • Great for the price.
Hello fellow photography junkies, i bought this about a month ago and i have been using it regularly in some pretty harsh environment's, mostly having to carry it through thick tropical jungle and swamp for documentary films. This track is strong but I wouldn't push it's limits. even with just a Nikon D3200 and small shotgun mic the track begins to bend if you move the camera from side to side, but that can easily be fixed if you have something to put under each side of the track. All in all its a great track for the price, it stops when you want it to stop and it goes when you want it to go. So yep it's a usable pease of equipment. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Simple slider done simply.
Size: 16 ines
After a few minutes of roller adjustment with the provided wrench, and some 2000grit sandpaper to remove resin from the carbon fiber rails, it has been a great tool.
