  • Good For More Than A Camera Slide
Size: 15.7"/40cm
Using the Neewer 15mm carbon fiber extension rods, a pair of SmallRig Super 'Crab' Clamps, and two pair of Fotyrig speed light mounting brackets, I was able to turn two K&F Concepts light stands into two lighting trees. I later found all-metal devices pre-made to do the same thing, but costing twice as much, and probably weighing more too. You might find these rails to be longer than needed for this application; until you put large diffusers on your flash or strobe; then they are just the right size. Also providing a good light spread for bounced flashes, with all kinds of aiming flexibility. ... show more

  • Strong, Well Made, and Lightweight
Size: 11.8"/30cm
Having delved into the realm of videography recently I have gradually been building a rig based around my video camera. I was very interested to see that Neewer has brought out a pair of extension rods that can be used with any 15mm support system. One of the downsides of expanding a video rig is the weight so when I saw that the extension rods were actually carbon fiber I ordered them. When they arrived I was impressed with the quality of finish and they are certainly up to the standard of anything else I own. The rods are 30cm or 11.8 inches in length and weigh 70 grams or 2.5 ounces in weight. In use, they slotted into my rig baseplate perfectly. What use you make of them depends upon the rig you have of course and what you want to do. Personally, I wanted to use them with a matte box in front of the lens but I also wanted to be able to mount a PCM recorder at the back. The rods are just long enough for me to be able to do so and despite the weight of the PCM recorder and mounting plate they were more than strong enough. Overall, these rods are very well made and strong enough for just about anything. If you're building a rig then I would highly recommend taking a look at these rods. ... show more

  • Better than I expected!
Size: 11.8"/30cm
These are very nice rods and I would highly recommend the carbon fiber ones. These, like most Neewer products, are good quality at a great price. I personally wish I would have got 8" ones for my setup so I might just purchase a set of those too and keep these ones in case I expand my rig with some other accessories I have planned for the future. ... show more

  • Carbon Fiber Rods
Size: 11.8"/30cm
These are good for your special photo/video setups where you require special attachments, special angles, or have to accommodate a weird format camera.

  • Lightweight SUPER STRONG and beautiful CARBON FIBER extension rods.
Size: 11.8"/30cm
These 11.8" long, 15mm in diameter, carbon-fiber extension-rods by Neewer couldn't have been manufactured and better. They're that nice. They're lightweight, super strong and allow you to mount a follow focus, matte box, V mount battery adapter plate, lens support, and other accessories to your camera rig. ... show more

  • Great, well made, lightweight rods, but are only 11.75" long.
Size: 11.8"/30cm
These are great, lightweight rods for your camera rig. The pair weighs in at 69g, and the ones I received measure at exactly 11.75" long. So, ALMOST the full listed 12" length but not quite. This is not an issue for me but I did want to note it for potential buyers. This fit and function perfectly in all my gear that accepts 15mm rods, tightening down snugly. Wall thickness looks fairly robust, and the ends are non-threaded (as advertised) and have the edges smooth so there's nothing sharp or rough. I have zero concerns about these breaking, unless something truly catastrophic happens. ... show more

  • Fine Tune
Size: 11.8"/30cm
Loved these carbon fiber rods as i used them for extending my other rings and they were a different brand but you can't tell as both felt equally the same with all of the mounted items, my dslr, focus ring and monitor. I was really impressed that they were and felt solid and they didn't break or curved. Very nice! ... show more

  • Much better than aluminum variants
Size: 11.8"/30cm
I recently purchased a pair of aluminum rods for my rig, and boy do I regret it. Once I compared them to these carbon fiber rods, I knew I had made the wrong choice. These are much better due to two things. Firstly, they are lighter, meaning that my arms thank me for carrying just a little bit less in weight. Secondly, they are stronger than aluminum, so I'm not afraid of accidentally bumping into a wall or something like that. Recommended! ... show more
