I had knee surgery and wanted a brace mainly to make sure other people in a busy location could see that I was walking slowly for a reason. I use a cane for the same reason. The brace is fairly easy to place. I wasn’t sure about the two straps when I ordered it, but the straps actually provide flexibility in adjusting the tightness in an easy way. This brace does a great job at helping my knee feel stable and secure. There are two straps and two bands that can adjust. I have heavy thighs and it still was able to adjust fine. In walking, or bending the knee (like climbing steps), the brace is flexible enough yet strong. My only gripe is that the brace sort of binds a little bit around the top and bottom edges. I think it has to, in order to maximize stability. I guess I haven't found the happy medium yet where it's loose enough for comfort but tight enough to work. ... show more

It felt ok around my knee once I got the straps all adjusted correctly, it's just a little too "tall" for my short legs. It kind of digs into the side of my thigh, even when my leg isn't bent.
