I use this iron primarily for crafting, but I've found many other uses since I got it. It heats quickly and the heat is evenly distributed, so there are no hot spots. The best part is its small size...it means I can leave it out on my work space and it doesn't get in the way or take up much room. And, it comes with an iron rest, so I don't have to worry about burning my work surface. You should, however, know the level of heat you need for your specific purpose. I've used the iron for my crafts but also for putting iron-on images on T-shirts and other items.
