  • Great echo unit
Time length is on the short side. Repeats decay at max setting so the range is limited. But it's not muddy.feed back after the 10 o clock position sounds terrible so don't expect an ehx good time.

  • Solid budget delay and echo but not a reverb. Very cool and different with tons of modding potential
I got this pedal for demo and review purposes on my gear page on a segment called "tone on a budget: cheap pedal edition". I ordered this thinking it would be a mess. Yeah I was wrong. Way wrong. This pedal is awesome! On first off its in no way a reverb pedal. It fails miserably in that regards but it is a stellar echo and delay pedal. If you're wanting like a strymon type reverb delay then you won't like this pedal (but you would fall in love with their snake bite reverb pedal! It's so good!!!). The echo and delay on this pedal has like an underlying lo-fi signal decay the further you dial in knobs. It's actually really really cool sounding if you're wanting to get into ambient territory. The main signal running through holds it's original integrity but the echo/delay underneath begins decaying with each repeat cycle so hence it really does sound like "ghost rain" although I'm sure a better name would go a long ways lol. This pedal has very solid delay up to a full second I believe. I would give this pedal five stars but it seems to lose sound clarity when used with a 9v battery and the only way to use a battery is with this little dongle they include that plugs into the adaptor port. It's minimal but tone purists would absolutely lose their pretentious minds over it. Me personally I think it sounds really cool and would make a cool under layer to a song verse. If I could suggest anything to Caline about this pedal out would be to add an expression pedal Jack and tie onto the time or decay pot. Rapidly ramping up those values sounds awesome! It's almost like a timing based whammy effect. Expression pedal add on functionality would really transform this pedal into something unique. So far I've tried out 3 Caline pedals for my gear page and all 3 were really great with no issues. I've actually kept them all on my Pedalboard because I've been so impressed with them. Especially the snake bite reverb. That pedal holds it's own against my Helix and big sky. I highly highly suggest checking it out. As for the ghost rain, if you find yourself in need of a solid echo and delay pedal try this out! I think you'll really dig it! It's definitely a bit different but in a really cool way. If you're into pedal modding add an expression pedal Jack, there's enough room in the casing, and tap onto the third knob/pot. If you're really talented at modding then add a selector and tap onto the middle knob as well for a really cool decaying repeat effect ... show more

  • Not a reverb-- but Effective Delay
I'm fairly new to the pedal board life but I have already gone through several delays. My first Delay pedal was the behringer vintage delay (which I HIGHLY recommend), then moved onto a Dan-Echo, and now am using this. I gave the Behringer to a friend who was just starting out with pedals and now I want it back, but may just buy another (do not want to be THAT guy asking for gifts back), and I love the Dan-echo but it is a little large and visually does not match my other pedals much. So I tried this Caline pedal. My buddy has the Caline Shark Bite Reverb and I was very impressed with the build, so I decided to take my shot at this pedal. This Pedal is also a bit larger than your average, but it's visually appealing. Review: It has simple delay controls and creates a lofi style atmosphere. The control knobs are sensitive and the control is pretty great. You can dial in a variety of speeds-- however it just misses the mark of being an actual reverb. The slower delay speed creates an ambiance that is very SIMILAR to a reverb sound-- while not ACTUALLY being a reverb. SO I can see what they named it this. I give it 4 stars because it does the thing. It delays. But it does not do the other thing--which is reverb. Overall I do recommend just just slightly over the Behringer Vintage Delay. They are very similarly priced-- but I would probably give this one a slight edge because of the build and design. IT HAS SOME SERIOUS CHARACTER. The Behringer SOUNDS amazing, I truly love it, but it's overall appearance and build is simplistic. It feels cheap, while the Caline also being a budget pedal-- has a higher quality feel to it. ... show more

  • Does what it needs too
This is a delay, not delay reverb, but it does exactly what it’s supposed too. For the money this is a good delay. A mic knob to set the dry/wet amount, a “feedback” that adjust the amount of delay and a time knob to adjust the speed of delay. Great little pedal for the price.

  • Not my favorite
Okay, the price makes this tempting, along with the good reviews; however, I just couldn't quite get it to sound good. The echo lacks a decay control and doesn't sound natural, as it is a bit processed and robotic sounding when used with a clean amp. If I could control the decay, I'd increase it. I'll stick with my Boss for live shows and use this as a kick around for my home rig. ... show more

  • Second time is the charm
I had to return the first one it didn't function properly. But when I got the second one it was worth the wait. Great versatility, and for the price way cheaper than other models.

  • Sounds cool
This is an awesome cheap pedal. The artwork is cool and you can get some nice sounds with it. For the price point it’s a 10 out of 10 but don’t expect $300 quality out of a $50 pedal

  • Ghost Rain Reigns as a Quality Delay & in Bang for Buck
Bought this & Behringer's Delay pedal simultaneously & put them head-to-head in a contest to keep the winner & return the loser. Result: Ghost Rain is a keeper. I ask a delay pedal: "Can you do these 3 things" - emulate Andy Somer's (The Police) sound on "When the World is Running Down," Piggy's (Voivod) on "Nuclear War," & David Gilmour's (Pink Floyd) on "Run Like Hell". Ghost Rain handled all this effectively & can do a lot more. On top of that, the graphics are cool & construction overall is solid. I'm not going to say the sound quality matches that of Boss & the elite but close enough as far as I'm concerned. Highly recommended. ... show more
