  • A fantastic product at a great price.
Style: FastFire III (3 MOA Dot) Pattern Name: Fastfire
This little optic red-dot sight is just the nuts. Easy to install with the picatinny rail adapter, which is included (be sure to buy the one with the rail-mount adapter, if you plan to mount it to a rail). Well designed, great optics, 3 brightness settings plus an "automatic" setting which sets the brightness by means of a sensor on the muzzle end of the sight. The red dot gets larger as the brightness increases. Burris even includes a small screwdriver to use on the windage and elevation adjustments, and a torx allen-type wrench used for the screws that mount the sight to the rail adapter. They included an extra of the little torx-head mounting screws, you don't often see nice touches like that. There's a nice little plastic shade that snaps onto the sight (you can use the sight with the shade on if you want to) that they call a "protective cover". The measurements in the description are very misleading, and had me thinking the sight would be much bulkier than it is. The sight measures 1-13/16" long, 1.0 inches wide, and 1.0 inches tall. Add in the thickness of the rail-mount adapter, and the mounted sight's height reaches only 1-5/16" above the rail. Tiny, really, but optically fantastic. The Burris website lists the price at "$287-$299", and I'd gladly pay that for this sight. On Amazon, it's $215. Nice Amazon touch: being a Prime member, 2-day shipping was free. I really wanted the sight in one day, since I wanted to have it mounted & ready to go on the morning of the second day. Amazon's added charge for 1-day service was just $3.99, and the sight was in my hands less than 18 hours after I placed the order. This is simply one of the best purchases I've made in years. I wish I could give it 10 stars. ... show more

  • Works Beautifully on a 22TCM100 1911 frame
Style: FastFire III (3 MOA Dot) Pattern Name: Fastfire
This is one solid holosight. It holds zero with no problems. I'm using it on a very unusual caliber. The pistol is an RIA 22TCM100. The rounds are all tactical. They are like small "necked down" .223. Same casing diameter as 9mm. Which this pistol will fire both 9mm and 22TCM. Comes w both barrels. The mags hold either rd. The muzzle flash is monster. But does not impede the shooter. I ran 400 rounds through the pistol with the Burris attached. No problems. You will need to tighten it down. I'm looking for a smaller footprint screw to do a more permanent retention on the pic rail which I had installed to accommodate the sight. Even after it got hot, and **first** time at the range, the ready screw loosened. I used a penny to tighten it back up. Stayed on zero. stayed tight from there on. I forgot to bring the screwdriver that comes with the sight to dial in the MOA. Had merely bore sighted it at home and it was already near zero. I need to dial it in with just a couple fine minor adjustments and it'll be dead on bullseye. Like others here have said, it takes a couple tries to get a quick acquisition getting used to using such a small holographic. But once you're used to it, the red dot will come right to your eye. And for rapid fire shots, it works very well. I dim it a bit and that's just personal preference. I tried a cheaper holosight and like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. One had the front glass pop right off. A friend used another brand that was NOT cheap and it fell apart. Burris warranties these and stands behind their products as I did go online to various forums. The dot, like others explained is not (perfectly) spherical. But it's close enough to drive nails and it's toughness is what counted for me. On a pistol with a super quick 1911 comp reset trigger, that slide will cycle 18 rounds flying/dumping. So that this sight holds up to such rigorous movement is why I gave it 5 stars. I have other high end larger holos on rifles. I almost put the small Trijicon on this but wow it would've killed my pocket book. I'm very happy I saved my hobby funds and went with this. Although this is not inexpensive by any means, it's not $650-$800 either. It's a perfect happy medium. The guys at the range call it the "RoboCop" as this pistol cal is similar to a 5.7. But the blast is massive while the recoil is nill. I get a lot of curious folk whom I let give her a whirl. All smiles. As a nut for 1911 frames, I went this route over the FN and it was quite a bit less of a price tag.. It's a great set up especially now with that Burris. Yes. It'll be a good addition to any pistol set up as far as I'm concerned if you are wanting to use (this type of sight). I'm planning on using this for competitive match. It's not something I meant to carry. Although again, that's personal preference for your specific needs. Good product, good company. I have no complaints. Certainly recommend 👍😋🇺🇸 *See photos* ... show more

  • Great Reflex Sight without the Out of Sight price.
Style: FastFire III (8 MOA Dot) Pattern Name: Fastfire
Needed a quality sight for my CZ-P09. I find I shoot better with these. I had a Deltapoint before, and loved it. Just hated the price, so unlike my Glock 34, my new CZ P-09 is geared up with the Burris 8 MOA Fastfire III with Springer Precision mount on my gun. The Multi step illumination is very nice, I usually keep it on the one one step below the brightest, and I am happy. Zeroing in the sight requires their Screwdriver, or one of the correct size. Where this tool less thing started I will never know. So I keep the one that came with the sight in my shooting bag. Elevation was off, but easy to fix. Found that loctiting both my mount, and the sight is a good thing. I forgot to loctite the mount and thankfully the mount being a well made dovetail that fit my CZ well did not come off. That being fixed I have a reliable sight picture now. Interesting feature is the white line on the rear of the sight so I can still acquire a somewhat quick sight picture with the still mounted front sight if I have too. Adjustments for brightness on the side momentary switch, click stop adjustments for elevation, and windage. Please use the screwdriver that comes with. Weight is just right. Very light. Lighter than my Deltapoint was, and a bit smaller, not allot but anytime I can save weight, not a bad thing. Build quality is very nice, but the Leupold I think is still better built. Twice the price better built than this Burris? Uh, no. I am pleased that my CZ which is relatively new now can hit as long as I do my part in partnership with the Fast Fire III with greater accuracy than with my iron sights. A small note, I have serious Astigmatism, and seeing the front sight picture is not really in the cards for me, so a reflex sight has helped allot. I couldn't be happier with this sight. As long as the Springer Precision mount stays on, so will my new favorite Burris. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quality sight. The Leupold, and Trijicon are still amazing too, but depending on what you get, will cost more. So for value, I think the Burris at least for me is a win. ... show more
