This little 507K was purchased to top off a new firearm that was pre cut to accept the 407K/507K. It fit like a glove and was simple to install. It performs flawlessly like all Holosun optics I've tried. The dot is easy to find and the multi reticle gives me 3 choices. This is daylight bright even in the brightest sun. Other Holosun optics I've had take a lickin and keep on runnin. I could by the BIG name super spendy stuff, but why. Holosun is miles ahead of the competition when it comes to design. For me every Holosun product I've owned has lasted. They're well built and priced well. Of course right after I bought this, I saw it on a great sale for $70 less. That's just my bad luck. Excellent red dot. The frame is very solid. While I have no intention of putting it through a torture test, I do believe that it would hold up to even unreasonable handling. I love the side battery tray. That feature alone makes it a winner over other red dots in this size. Not having to remove the optic to replace the battery (and thus not having to re-zero) is a big win in my book. Several other red dots of this size require removal to replace the battery. Battery life is stated as 50,000 hours. I can’t speak to that, but my battery is several months old and still going strong. I like the 2 MOA dot. For the 32 MOA reticle I am still on the fence. But the nice thing is that you can just have the dot showing, just have the reticle, or have both. A push of a button just cycles through the three options. Plenty of settings to take it from dim to bright. For me, the brightest setting is too bright even in sunlight. Lowest setting is almost invisible, so you should definitely be able to find the right setting to fit your preferences. It also has night vision settings, but I can’t test those. This far outpaces the Romeo Zero it replaced. I bought a second one of these for my wife. She loves it too. I switched from a different red dot to the Holosun. She switched from irons to the Holosun. We both are extremely happy with it! ... show more

I haven’t yet, but I’ll likely be contacting the manufacturer soon to see if I have a faulty product. I’m having issues with the shake awake. Overall, it’s a great optic. Accurate, and fun to use. My issues: Sometimes, it will not turn off or will wake for seemingly no input. I swear, it’s so sensitive that it’s waking from sensing migration of animals in Africa. I had it on my nightstand, but found that simply walking on the opposite side of the room would wake it. I now set it on a folded sock on my nightstand, and this damper seems to have reduced the frequency of these incidents. Sometimes, it will not wake. I’ve had maybe 5-10 times where I cannot wake it regardless of effort! I’ll pick up my pistol, and shake it. Shake it repeatedly, and somewhat violently. No response. So I’ll hit the + button, THEN it turns on. Even more disconcerting, I’ve had this happen a few times while I was carrying it. I’ll holster my pistol with the optic on. A bit later (without experiencing 10 minutes of perfect stillness that may let it sleep), I’ll draw my pistol to check- and the optic will be off and unresponsive. Again, this requires pressing the + button to turn it on. My expectation for this optic is that after 10 minutes of stillness it will sleep. And after motion, it will wake from sleep. Thus far, it’s been inconsistent enough that I actually don’t fully trust it. One gripe about design: the lowest time it is possible to set for the optic to auto turn off is 10 minutes. I would love to at least see an OPTION to set it lower. In what scenario ever will it be held that perfectly still while in use / needing to be on for more than a minute or two? At least give us the option to set it lower at our discretion… or are you in cahoots with the battery manufacturers? ... show more
