I have owned this little optic for about a year now. First on a rifle but now resides in my home defense shotgun. I have found this to be a tough well made optic that holds zero even through punishing recoil of a shotgun. I have had zero issues with the QD mount attaching to the picc rail of my firearm and once there it is rock solid. The reticle is crisp and clear even with aging eyes. The adjustments in illumination level is easy and is palpably visible. There is some blurring on the highest level, but this in no way makes the optic unusable at this level. The sighting adjustments are a little mushy, but you can feel each click. I was able to Ranger Wrap my 510c to match my A 300 and that was like icing on the cake for this tough little guy. One drawback is that it has an open emitter that could become dirty or occluded. After several range trips in dry dusty conditions, I have yet to experience a failure in function. This optic is a solid addition that you can depend on plus your wife won't kick you out after purchasing it!! ... show more

I put this on a 12 gauge KSG. I had the gunsmith sight it in for me, and its dead on... even at 100 yard slugs! Obviously, this speaks to the gunsmith's ability more than the sight. However, even after nearly 50 slugs, 50 buck shot, 200 birdshot shells, the sight is still perfectly on target. The dot is also extremely crisp, and being able to switch between single dot, dot and cross, and just cross was a neat surprise! a bit on the pricey side, but once I got it I understood why. Very good build quality. The field of view is extremely clear. I love how easy it is to power on and off. But best of all is the tiny solar panel which it has to help preserve battery life. Overall great optic right out of the box and super easy to install to the firearm of choice. Glass Optical Quality/Characteristics Holosun 501c: Excellent – Glass adds almost imperceptible blueish color. The coating on the glass nearly completely blocks red laser light. EoTech XPS2-0: Excellent – Glass adds almost no color. Trijicon MRO HD: Good – Has almost imperceptible magnification factor (probably around 1.05x). As noted by other reviewers, it is possible to sometimes see a reflection of the emitter/circuit board. This reflection is only visible under unusual/momentary lighting conditions. Neither the magnification nor occasional reflection bothered me. Dot Quality/Characteristics Holosun 501c: Excellent – nearly perfect line/dot quality. Very cool ability to switch between a single red dot and a red dot surrounded by a 68 MOA segmented circle. EoTech XPS2-0: Good – but the center dot and the segmented circle is slightly fuzzy, like it is made up of a bunch of tiny, smudged pixels. Cannot switch to center red dot only. Trijicon MRO HD: Excellent – nearly perfect line/dot quality. Very cool ability to switch between a single red dot and a red dot surrounded by a 68 MOA segmented circle. Parallax Holosun 501c: Very good – almost no/very little perceptible parallax. EoTech XPS2-0: Excellent – almost no perceptible parallax. It just works very well. It's clear, bright, and the reticle is very visible. Highly recommend this optic. I dialed it in with a bore laser and was hitting with accuracy using 300 blackout AR pistol

Easy to use bright led sight mark, adjustable brightness I like it better than an EOTECH as a civilian. Not sure how it would hold up in the field but it also has solar power if your batteries die that I like very much. I also think it looks better on the rifle than an EOTECH. Once you set brightness it actually can adjust as you move in and out of a darker room to a well lit room so the brightness stays at what you set it in regards to your environmental light source. ... show more
