  • Triple-Band Functionality: Operate the UV-25X4 as multiple radios in one, using 144 MHz, 220 MHz, or 430 MHz as the primary TX/RX band, while simultaneously monitoring up to 3 other frequencies or channels. Configure your device for VHF-VHF, VHF-UHF, or UHF-UHF operation according to your needs.
  • All-Inclusive Kit: Your purchase includes the BTECH UV-25X4, RJ45 to K1 Audio Adapter, Speaker Mic, DC Cable, Radio & Mic Brackets, Mounting Hardware, and a User Guide to help you get started with your advanced radio experience.
  • Dual Watch monitoring VHF/UHF and 220Mhz: The 220 MHz band antenna lowpass filter is switched with a relay and the 2 meter lowpass filter and 70 cm highpass filters are switched with PIN diodes - resulting in a audible relay switch noise when monitoring 220MHz with VHF/UHF simultaneously. A relay that completely isolated the 220 MHz RF filter won't impact the RF performance of the 2 meter/70 cm bands. If monitoring multiple 220MHz or VHF/UHF simultaneously the relay is not heard or used.

  • Great little radio!
If you have a vehicle that you would like to install this in but don't have much space, this is seriously the radio for you. It is a very capable radio, yet very tiny. I can literally hold this thing in the palm of my hand. I drive an $800 car so I have no problem drilling into the dash and mounting this thing. There have been a lot of complaints in the reviews and I was skeptical about buying but decided to dive in anyway and I'm glad I did. This radio has held up well within the past month or so that I've used it, I've reached folks about 22 mi away using a larsen tri-band antenna. I'm seriously considering the 50x2 as a base station because this worked to well. As for the complaints... Is there an audible click? Yes. It is insanely loud and annoying? Annoying yes, loud no. I don't use 200mhz so I never have this issue. Is the fan loud? I actually laughed, it's really not that bad. It winds up while transmitting and sounds like a little rc car. While driving, this is not very noticeable and I just ignore it and enjoy my $100 radio. I also read that when using the radio powered via the cigarette lighter, it will heat up enough to melt. This did not happen in my case, however, I wired it up to my car battery for a more reliable connection. As for the programming side, do yourself a favor and download Chirp and use it. Makes this radio SO much easier to program, although you should know how to do this manually. Admittedly, this does take some time. My only complaint is the scanning. I have to enter the freq range I want to scan, rather than just select a band and hit scan. Minor complaint, but just what I prefer. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to jump in and not spend a whole lot of money. ... show more

  • BTECH UV-25X4 (Second Gen.) offers a lot for the money! Very pleased!
The order arrived quickly and was well packaged. It is very easily programmed using CHIRP software. The unit has a solid, well-built feel to it, and the buttons and knobs have a decent feel, as well. The mic fits comfortably in the hand, and it allows you to perform most radio functions from the mic. It transmits and receives as it should on all appropriate bands. I'm impressed by the versatility of this little unit, as it can serve as a base station, a mobile unit, or pack it in a backpack! I'm also very impressed by BTECH's mission statement, as it instills confidence and trust in their integrity as a company! Highly recommend! Great value for the money! ... show more

  • Good basic radio vhf/uhf with Commercial fm broadcast band.
I have been an amateur operator for 30 yrs. Got lost in my smartphone for 10 yrs. Moved to Arizona desert and found out my cellular phone don't work everywhere where I live. This radio paired with a tram 1480 dual band antenna( 6 dB 2m, 8 dB 70cm) 35 feet in the air. I'm hitting repeater sites over 40 miles away full quiting on 10 watts , and on 146.520 simplex over 25 miles away. I bought this radio because it had commercial fm broadcast reception(mono only) and I'm receiving fm broadcast stations over 135 Miless away. Other than not having stereo reception, the receiver sensitivity on this radio receives more as in broadcast stations than my Bose wave radio does on an outside FM dipole, I even found local low power fm broadcast stations from 30 miles away that I didn't even know was there. I have the external speaker plug into one channel of my mixer board to my audio equipment. Adjust the eq to drop out the sub audio control tones to use the repeater. And most everyone I talked to sound like a commercial broadcast stations (except distance station Who are noisy on the repeater input) my Kuston 12 channel 200 watt mixer amplifier through 4 Kustom 12 inch woofer horn tweeter and 2 Yamaha 15 inch and horn tweeter That I use for my home audio visual home theater. I really haven't tried it out on hi power as my current 5 amp 13.8 regulated power supply to my 10 meter radio isn't enough for high power . 30 amps power supply is my next purchase. The only 2 things that I have found the j45 microphone plug and putting enough pull to stretching out the coils over the mic cord can cause one or more of the 8 microphone pins to lift cause audio transmission problems (no stretch the coils works fine. ) and the rubber knob on the d-shaft of the volume control came off re adjust it put it back on. The only 2 things to make this radio better is included fm stereo broadcast reception and a separate antenna connector for 1.25 metern output as tri-band 2m 1.25m 70 cm base antennas are very expensive in my book. Other than that this is a great first-time radio, get the programing cable for is. N7tmq ... show more

  • These are Refurbs or Rejects!!!!
Huge disappointment. There is no way this type of experience comes from poor quality control from the manufacturer. Mine arrived missing knobs are both potentiometers. Missing mounting bracket. Missing Power cord. Missing Microphone holder. Screws b were tamper so it is clear this unit was opened up too. Conclusion??? I received a returned unit in which no one even cared to look in the box and pushed it to Amazon to sell as brand new. Hugely disappointed. I guess Btech hoped someone received it in hopes of being to lazy to return it. Heck no!!! Instead, I drive to the UPS store to drop it off, wasted gas, requested a replacement, and energetically left this negative comment to warn all others considering to buy this instead of the AnyTone. I only brought this one because I am already familiar with Baofeng's menu system...plus I liked the ability to listen to the additional band. I'll update this comment once I receive the replacement. If I experience the same poor packaging of a used product, I will not only update this further, I will also file a complaint with Amazon to pursue this buyer to replaced their inventory stored in Amazon's fulfillment centers. UPDATED 1/10/23: After reading too many similar reviews, I have canceled the replacement and received the refund instead. It is clear the stock are all used, unchecked, stock. Shame on BTech!!! I decided to pay a little more and get the Anytone instead. Don’t waste your hard earned money on the BTech as you will waste time and money and earn nothing but frustration and time lost from being on the air. ... show more
