Lots of plusses and minuses here. I bought this enclosure for my new Elegoo Phecda laser engraver. The dimensions seemed to be a good fit, but sadly, this is not the case and I'll need to return it. Pros: 1.) The cover is really nice. It's thick and you can feel the silicone layer. I'm convinced that it will stop whatever fire issues occur (hopefully none). 2.) The fan it comes with pushes A LOT of air. I mean it. This fan could power a vacuum. It's quite loud. I'm a bit concerned that it will pull too much air and negatively affect the air-assist and in-line fan for my exhaust system. But if you're cutting wood and generating a lot of smoke, it's a benefit. 3.) It's definitely light. You could fold it up and put it away when you don't need it. Cons: 1.) The main issue... the Phecda is too big for it. It technically fits, but you no longer have access to the TF card slot, power switch, and USB jack. I had to pull the frame apart to get it around the baffle and reassemble it so it sits right next to the risers. 2.) The cover viewing window doesn't seem to be made of a laser safe material. I'm pretty sure it's just thick plastic sheeting. I'd wear laser protective goggles regardless, but it would be nice if they used the orange protective plastic for that extra bit of protection. 3.) Another big one for me is that the exhaust port rests directly on the engravers baffle which could block the laser head from traveling as intended. 4.) The metal that the frame is made out of might as well be plastic. I actually couldn't tell what it's made out of because it's so thin and light. It may be aluminum, it might be plastic, I'm not sure. It's not heavy enough to be steel and if it is, it must be some NASA-level engineering metallurgy. 5.) Some of the parts arrived damaged (like the ring clamps). Easy enough to bend back to shape, but the gear screw got stuck and wouldn't tighten. I hope that the company can take these critiques and make a better product suited for the Phecda. For now, I can't recommend this one. ... show more

    • Good quality but too small for my system
I like the way this enclosure assembled. The skeleton fit together nice and snug but sadly I underestimated the internal size and it would not fit around my Longer B1 30 watt laser engrazer/cutter.

Bought this enclosure for my xtool D1 Pro. I was concerned it would be too flimsy, but not the case. The LED lights work very well. The vent attachment works but the weight of the hose and vent are a bit heavy and pull on the enclosure. See photo; I just braced it with a piece of 4x4 and that solved the situation. I recently purchased an X-Tool D1 laser and found taking it outside to work on my projects to be a pain. So I purchased this cover to see if I could work on my projects inside the house. I have had it about a month and it seems to work pretty good. It was extremely easy to put together and setup. It fit directly over the laser with no issues, even with the leg extensions. The cover came folded and had some creases in it, so I left it out in the sun for about an hour and the creases seems to have minimize. It's plastic, so they won't disappear completely. I vented the unit out a window next it and it seems to be doing a descent job. It's not 100% sealed but does a good job venting most of the smell out the vent. I created a window vent that I could remove when not using the unit. The window vent is made up of a 4 inch vent connector purchased from Amazon and a small piece of scrap wood. I also used polyurethane on the wood to seal it so if it rains it wouldn't rot the wood. ... show more

I got this last year after getting my xtool d1 pro 20w laser. I wanted this since I am doing it in the house. Love the fan with exhaust hose! Works great and really helps keep the smoke/smell out of the house. Plus am glad that protects against fires! Definitely worth the money!

    • Pretty happy overall. Some cons though.
First off I see most of the reviews for this product were from people that got it for free. Almost didn't buy it for that reason. I purchased mine and I would recommend this product. It fit my D1 xtool perfectly. Two issues that I ran into. 1. The fan did ok but still had some smell frome certain materials. I went ahead and bought an in-line exhaust fan and it is much better. 2. The window does not protect you from the laser at all. You definitely still have to wear glasses. ... show more

    • Seems Great, Not so much
Assembly isn't bad but you'll need 10 minutes of complete focus. Material seems good but there are some true design flaws. #1 Exhaust fan is just not strong enough. #2 Fumes come out the zipper. #3 Depending on your laser printer (I use an xtool) you'll have to lift the whole thing up to load a large panel on the laser bed. #4 With no bottom, and being very light material, it gets bumped around and lets fumes out. #5 While using air assist, the problem of the much too weak exhaust fan only gets worse. #6 It needs an additional light strip for true functionality of the light. #7 cannot be added on to if adding an extension kit to your laser. (Full disclosure not many do make them expandable) Is it complete junk? No. With some minor design changes it could be great. Would I recommend it? No. Not without design changes. Would I buy it again? Absolutely not. I've already started designing my own hood with a much more powerful fan that I will be building soon. I was hoping not to have to spend the money to do that, because anything made like this is just not an option. ... show more
