  • WIDE COMPATIBILITY & EASY INSTALLATION: Brass bushings are available in 1/2 and 3/4 sizes for compatibility with most Atwood and Suburban water tanks. Connect the heating rod to the brass bushing when assembling, and then insert the heating rod into the position of the anode rod (drain plug ) on the water tank. All cords are color-coded and require no expertise, allowing you to quickly identify and install the corresponding connectors to complete the process
  • ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTAT & INDEPENDANT SWITCH: Thermostat can be set according to your needs. The combination used with the heating rod will provide you with a comfortable and constant water temperature, which can effectively avoid problems such as water tank freezing when traveling in cold areas to have a smooth day. An independent switch is provided, and the metal bracket required for installation is attached for convenience, which results in individual and safe control of the heat kit

Make sure enough water in the water tank when heating. Try to stick the thermostat on the plane of the water tank and ensure there is no tape on the sensing hole, otherwise, it will block and shield the sensing hole, resulting in insensitive temperature conduction and unexpected water temperature

The best thing about this product is the water gets very hot. I thought maybe it wouldn't be as effective as a factory, electric water heater, but it certainly is very effective. The instructions weren't very detailed, but there are videos on YouTube that help. You do not need to be an electrician to install this. I was able to plug mine into an existing 120 outlet, that only had the refrigerator on the circuit, so it doesn't kick the breaker. If your RV doesn't have a useable outlet, you may have to install one, which if you're not an electrician, you may want to hire a professional for. However this kit does NOT include materials for that. You install the heating element where the anode rod goes; so no more anode rod. I had one problem with this, which is why I gave it 4 stars, not 5. I had to tighten the heating element way harder than should have been necessary and still had a drop of water come out about every 5 minutes. I tightened it to the point I was worried it might break, but it's held and ignored the occasional drop. So maybe the specs aren't as exact as they should be? IDK, it is made in China and their spec standards might not be as good as in the US. But overall it is working well and wasn't too difficult to install. ... show more

Took a little over 30 Minutes to install this kit not to hard to figure out. The instructions could use a bit of work but youtube has plenty of videos so not that big of a deal. If you use the supplied plumbing tape use a lot of it it's very thin and will leak a bit If you don't get it thick enough. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the switch is faulty out of the box and the anode rod dose not fit but I'm sure that is just my tank. The heating element fits fine and it keeps the water at a nice temperature for when I need to wash my hands or shower and don't want to wait for the propane to heat up. I would definitely buy one again or recommend it to a friend despite the small issues I had. ... show more
