If you are purchasing these lovely mats you really need to get the mat to enhance the loveliness those mats. I get some many compliments without the mat but I have to tell you if you bet the rubber doormat try you are protecting your investment. The mats are so very reasonably priced. The idea of the rubber mat as holder with replaceable seasonal mats is excellent. The rubber holder is nice. The mat however has issues: 1) it doesn't fit correctly in the holder as it is about 1/4" - 1/2" too large on length and width; 2) the ink on the mat is not deep and will probably wash out with snow, ice, & rock salt by the time the winter season is over. ... show more
