Pool cove will help prevent excessive stretching and premature wearing, adding years to the life of your new liner. Peel & Stick pool cove has an adhesive backing for quick, easy installation. Available in 48" lengths. Why density matters in pool cove: Water pressure on the cove is directly proportional to the depth of the water. The deeper the water, the more pressure on the cove. The higher the density, the lower the amount of air in the cove. Air will compress over time, resin won't. If the cove flattens over time, the liner will become stressed and possibly even pull on the wall structure. Economy is rated 1. 6 pounds per cubic foot. Economy pool cove is available in 48" lengths and offers peel & stick convenience. Available in multi-packs. Blue Wave NL1973 Gorilla Guard Above Ground Closed Cell Pool Wall Foam, 1/8" x 48" x 100', White Instantly create a smooth, soft padded wall surface barrier between your pool wall and pool liner. The gorilla guard closed-cell 1/8-in thick high-density wall foam provides excellent protection between your pool liner and the pool wall. In addition, it acts as an insulator improving your pool's ability to retain heat. This foam extends the life of your pool and pool liner by providing extra protection from rust, corrosion and other wall deterioration that may damage your pool or pool liner. What a product! With someone else helping, these were installed in my 24' above ground in less than 5 minutes - that's not an exaggeration. I have done a few pool liners over the years. I'll never do another without this product. Far superior to a sand cove, and super consistent. It made for a great finish for my latest install. What I liked best was knowing for sure my sand floor is flat, because I could see it meet the wall instead of burying that intersection with sand and hoping it was right. Pro tip: Peel the adhesive backer about 6", and fold the backer piece straight up, press the cove into the corner, keeping the cove tight to the floor and the pool wall with one hand, pull up on the backer with the other. Do this about every 12 inches as you go, and you will install every piece perfectly and quickly. The backer is super sticky, you don't want to have to reposition if you don't have to. If you have a 24' round pool, buy the 24' round kit. I read several reviews about this coming up short and was worried. I have a 24' round pool and I ended up with an extra 1.5 feet. I imagine oval pools could be an issue though, so pay attention to reviews specific to the pool size and type you have. ... show more

I have put up a few pools over the years, and always used the sand for the cove. This time I used these and they are so much easier! They are also cheaper to buy than buying more sand for the cove. Saved me about $100 and a lot of work. Would definitely recommend these. I bought the cover for a 24 foot pool, it said it would have 19 in the box and all 19 were in it. Adhesive was very strong.. Let's get to the punch first, I ordered the correct size pool cove 18x33 I was mailed the number of cove pieces Amazon assigned to that pool size. After we installed the pool cove we were short one piece. Amazon needs to go back to geometry class! Now for the positives! The most obvious positive is it eliminates the need for a sand cove built my hand! The material seems dutiable. The peel and stick made it an easy install. Before installation I spend some time reading the reviews here on amazon. It helps to hear other peoples experiences. I decided to duct tape all joints between each cove piece and the top to the pool wall and the bottom to my happy bottom liner. I did this as I installed each piece with one continuous piece of duct tape. I had three rolls of duct tape. I started with the first piece about two inches from the edge I put down the tape at the top until I reached two inches from the next piece. I set down the roll without tearing or cutting the tape. Then I started another roll of tape at the bottom starting it at the same place stoping about an inch before the top roll of tape so they wouldn't touch. I then put on my next cove piece. I took my third roll of duct tape and cut a piece long enough to cover the joint of the coves. Then I moved the top duct tape within two inches of the end of the new cove I just installed, and moved the bottom duct tape to match. I repeated this process all the way around the pool. This works perfectly - saved a mess as I didn’t have to use sand to make the cove. The glue is just sticky to be able to be moved but hangs on when you’re done.
