I bought some Miracle-Gro Houseplant Potting Mix a few weeks ago. Surprisingly, it had thousands of little bugs in it. I don't know what they were, but they were about the 1/4 the size of ants. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the bugs until AFTER I put the Miracle-Gro in my flower pot. I decided to try this stuff out. Two days after I applied this, I didn't see a single bug. Now it's been about a month, and I STILL haven't seen a single bug. I wish I would have known about this sooner! It works, it's easy to apply, and it has no smell. I'm not sure how it will work on my Lilies yet because they still haven't sprouted, but I assume this won't damage my lilies. ... show more

I have 80+ houseplants & work in a plant store so I’m always proactively treating my plants for pests. I was able to completely decimate a really bad thrips infestation on a coworker’s huge Monstera using this and a few rounds of neem + insecticide spray. 6+ months later and the thrips still haven’t returned. I recommend systemic to everyone dealing with pests! As long as you use it responsibly it is an excellent tool to have. Just don’t use it on any outdoor plants because it will harm pollinators, and don’t use it to treat spider mites because it will actually make them worse; it’s for “larger” pests (scale, mealy bugs, thrips, aphids, etc).     • Effective but Pricey – Worth It for Gnats!

We had a major gnat infestation in our office—constantly buzzing around, distracting us, and impossible to get rid of. I tried multiple solutions, but this was the only thing that actually worked. Within a couple of days, the gnats were gone! It didn’t cause any issues for the plants, and they stayed healthy the entire time. I used one canister for about eight plants, including two large potted ones. You don’t get a ton in a canister, so it’s pretty expensive for the amount, but it’s worth it for getting rid of gnats. About 6–7 months later, we got new plants and had another gnat problem. I used this again and noticed I had to “freshen up” the treatment on the older plants because the gnats had spread back. I also didn’t notice any strong odor, which was a nice bonus. Overall, great quality and long-lasting, but you will need to reapply over time to keep the gnats at bay! Taking off one star because of the price, but overall, it’s a great product that does what it promises! ... show more

    • Great product sold by weight, not by fullness of bottle

I bought this for my houseplants as I noticed some insect infestation in plants I brought in for the Winter. First of all, do not go by amount in bottle, it is sold by WEIGHT. I wrote the company to ask why it was not full and they explained that during the process, it is a dusty product and in order to keep employees from inhaling dust, they do not fill it all the way up and it is sold by the wight of the bottle, not the amount. Glad I educated myself. I thought I had gotten a bad one. Will see how it works but from what I read, it works great too. ... show more

    • Great product when not spilled in the box

This is a wonderful product. It keeps fungus gnats out of my house plants. But each time I order it, the lid has loosened and some has spilled. This time, however, half the bottle of product had spilled into the bag. I’ll have to buy it elsewhere. It’s too expensive to lose half of it.

I had a huge gnat problem in my plants. I tried so many things to get rid of them and nothing seemed to work until I tried this. So easy to use and actually works. Great quality, no smell, no putting toxins in the air and yet it’s so effective.

    • Keeps bugs & fungus gnats away from plants that vacation outside

I have quite a few house plants that “summer outside” on the back deck. Every fall when it turned cooler and I brought them inside, the war with fungus gnats was on. One year, spider mites took over and killed two of my plants. I tried this product and problem solved. I use this about four weeks or so before I think I will need to bring them back inside for the cold months. I’ve used it two years now and both years - no more fungus gnats or any other nasty plant-destroying bug/critter - I’m lookin’ at you spider mites. Generally it’s only one application - I do not use this all year. I have a few, more delicate/difficult plants that I wondered if this would harm the plant - but the plants were all fine with this product.
