Personally I don’t like the way the handle clicks into the unit, but it seems to work fine. The hook seems a little larger than my last one, but that could just be me. It’s hard to fit a safety chain into the u-bolt on the boat — but again that could be more my boat hook size - I’m not certain. It seems to have a clutch on it. So you can only get it so tight. I bought this for my trailer which is used with a Yamaha SX210 boat, which is over 4000lbs when loaded with gear/fuel. It easily pulls the boat up onto the trailer. The handle is quick detach, which is a negative for me. I wish it had a bolt on option. I have been removing the handle after each use so that it doesn't fall off when towing. ... show more

Used it to help pull a car up onto a trailer. Sturdy and easy to use. However, be careful what that like rubs against. If it runs it won’t real the line on the spool evenly. So far it works!
