The cooling side is true that it's definitely not as hot as most other pillows. Still gets warm, but I'm not waking up sweating like I used to. One night I woke up so hot and thought "this dang pillow, just like the rest" then I realized that I had it on the bamboo side. Whoops, my bad. Flipped it over and went right back to sleep. The package comes with extra stuffing which I had to take out about equivalent of that from my pillow. My hubby likes his as is. The only thing I did not care for was the odor when it arrives. Conforms to your head, neck and shoulders. Plus it’s adjustable to your comfort level. Since using these pillows, my husband’s snoring has decreased and I don’t need to use my Cervical collar.
