This was so simple to assemble. Seriously there are only 5 parts and they all stack and line up easily. Took me longer to unpack it than it did to assemble. The faux stone looks very nice, not cheap or plastic, this is heavy cast stuff. Unpack it where it's delivered and just move each of the pieces to the location you plane to install it. Each piece is very manageable on it's own... the box with the mantle was over 100 pounds, and awkward to move solo. The heater section works well, brought my office space from 47 to 68 in about 20 min. (400 square feet) I personally like the fire effect, but can see how some folks will think it's a little cheesy if you go with any of the multi-color options. Find one you like and stick with it. From 10 feet away it really does look like there is a fire going. A little loud on high, but it's just a white noise from the fan, not distracting, just makes it necessary to turn up the volume on your conference call or TV show when it's running. It was easy to assemble, Looks great. One thing why I take away one star is it doe snot have a thermostat. NO way to control the room temperature. Be ware of this. It is VERY Heavy. make sure you have help moving it. only 5 pieces to put together, It comes in two packages the Heater and the case comes separately. Otherwise is a good buy. ... show more

Very easy to put together. Pre-drilled holes and the big holes are threaded. Used a phillips head screwdriver and that was it. Plugs in and looks great. 40 inches is a little small but great for a condo or an apartment. I am impressed.

It's nice to look at but it doesn't put out enough heat, it doesn't even heat up one room If it wasn't so much trouble to return it I would waste to money next year I'll spend a little more money and buy a better one

This fireplace really adds to the ambience of my office/she shed. It heats really well. I can only have the fan on for a few minutes before my rather large room gets too warm. The fan draws a lot of electricity so make sure that your wiring can handle it I had to upgrade.

Update: unfortunately, about 2 months after the warranty expired we heard a pop and the electronic assembly no longer works. We run this for several hours each evening. I emailed about it and it’s past warranty so we’re out of luck. I really like this fireplace but can’t be replacing the electric unit once a year. I still stand by the quality of the fireplace assembly itself. Just not sure about the electric component: Original review: I don't often write product reviews, but I'm so pleased with this fireplace that I felt I should since there aren't many other reviews here. I was nervous ordering this because of the lack of reviews but it's a high-quality product. I was afraid the stone would be made of some cheap plastic but it looks and feels like stone. The product is so heavy that my husband and I carried the pieces upstairs rather than the entire box. It also has a lot of different settings for speed, color, and brightness that make it really nice. You can turn the heater on and off so it can be used year round. Highly recommend!! ... show more
