This was so simple to assemble. Seriously there are only 5 parts and they all stack and line up easily. Took me longer to unpack it than it did to assemble. The faux stone looks very nice, not cheap or plastic, this is heavy cast stuff. Unpack it where it's delivered and just move each of the pieces to the location you plane to install it. Each piece is very manageable on it's own... the box with the mantle was over 100 pounds, and awkward to move solo. The heater section works well, brought my office space from 47 to 68 in about 20 min. (400 square feet) I personally like the fire effect, but can see how some folks will think it's a little cheesy if you go with any of the multi-color options. Find one you like and stick with it. From 10 feet away it really does look like there is a fire going. A little loud on high, but it's just a white noise from the fan, not distracting, just makes it necessary to turn up the volume on your conference call or TV show when it's running. It was easy to assemble, Looks great. One thing why I take away one star is it doe snot have a thermostat. NO way to control the room temperature. Be ware of this. It is VERY Heavy. make sure you have help moving it. only 5 pieces to put together, It comes in two packages the Heater and the case comes separately. Otherwise is a good buy. ... show more

We love this little fireplace! It has a lot of color/brightness options and the timer is a great added bonus. The unit itself was fairly easy to assemble and arrived well-packaged. It did have a scratch on the top, but it was easily repaired with the included touch-up paint. During assembly, one of the pre-drilled holes was found to no t line up and I was timid to take a chisel or larger bit to the hole for fear of cracking the stone. I decided to continue without placing that bolt and the unit seems no worse for it. nice and sturdy piece of furniture, real looking stone and an attractive addition to or decor. ... show more

The parts for this is very difficult to put together. It also came chipped which I was going to let go but when I tried to get the insert in which they stated it was suppose to have pre drilled holes it did not! I tried to request a refund but trying to carry this thing in for refund will be a nightmare! I will not recommend this unless you have $300 to throw away! ... show more

The whole assembly took about 2 hours. I did have to drill holes to insert the fireplace insert as there were NO holes although the instructions state to screw it in using a screwdriver. It looks about like a 250 dollar electric fireplace would look. It does have some gaps which I am not pleased about. Overall, it's best to pay a few hundred bucks extra and get a better design. It does keep you warm, the flame is beautiful but It's just not really what I am looking for. I will probably gift it this summer and get the one I really wanted when I tried saving money on this one. It also comes shipped in two boxes. One box is small and light, the second one is fairly heavy. Also you only need one person to put it together. ... show more
