  • Sturdy & comfortable but assembly is not as easy as you'd think
I'll hit the basic bullet points here for a quick and easy review: PROS: * The delivery was on time as promised * The packaging was done well. A smaller box was packed inside of a larger box for redundant protection. The metal chair frame parts were wrapped in many small Styrofoam sheets to prevent scratching and damage and fit inside the package well. I didn't notice any damage except for a slight tear in the fabric covering the underside of the seat near the screw hole. * The chair has a nice wide seat so if you are a wider person there is plenty of room to accommodate you. * The material/cushioning for the seat and back of the chair is sturdy. If you think you're going to sink into this chair and feel like you're on a cloud of cotton you will need to look elsewhere. * Once built the chair seems solid. I have had it only a few days so my use has been limited but if, in the future, anything seems wobbly or creaky I will update this review. *The design of the chair is comfortable for my frame. I'm a 5'10 male and the height of the back of the chair supports me well enough to remain upright but comfortable. I don't feel like I'm being forced to sit in a stiff, upright position. CONS: *Looking at the directions assembly SEEMS easy but it is NOT. Yes, it's easy to understand what you have to do. It's easy to follow the steps. However, because of the design it requires very careful handling and, in my opinion, is best done as a two person job. The left and right sides of the frame are held together by two crossbars which go underneath the seat. The crossbars themselves slide onto two male ends that are on both the left and right sides of the frame. That part is easy. However, both the crossbars and frames have a specific hole that's been drilled for the screws which must be aligned correctly when connecting them. When building the chair and sitting it upright the chair sits at a very awkward angle and can cause the whole thing to fall if you are not careful or do not have a second set of hands helping you. Once the frame is built and aligned the seat must be placed on top of the crossbars and the four screws must go in from underneath the frame upwards into the seat. I cannot overstate how much this is where the most aggravation will take place. Before you begin make sure you flip the seat over to find the sticker showing you which way front-facing for the seat. Aligning the flat-head screws through the frame with the holes in the seat is a very delicate thing. For one, you will most likely be required to lay on your back and work underneath the chair to start fitting the screws. The screws themselves are small, and the holes in the seat are small, making them difficult to align. If anything moves or the screw holes come out of perfect alignment while you're trying to put on the seat it WILL throw off the angle of the screw and you will not be able to screw it together correctly. It just won't work. DO NOT SCREW ANY SCREW IN COMPLETELY AT FIRST. Leave each screw loosely connected until all four are in before you begin to full tighten them. Once you get the seat screwed into place the rest of the assembly is easy. I will say that even though my seat and the frame have been aligned there is still a slight gap -- about 1/4in -- on the left side of the chair that isn't on the right. It's not anything that I will lose sleep over but it suggests to me that things may have been slightly off during the manufacturing. All in all I am satisfied with everything except for the assembly. It is basically a balancing act. If the frame could be assembled and locked in place BEFORE adding the seat it would make the whole thing much easier and I would give it 5 stars. Again, it is not difficult to understand or follow the steps. The difficulty is what is required in the effort to make those steps happen and the level of care and precision that it takes. ... show more

  • Comfortable chairs
Bought 4 of them for our medical office to replace old chairs and we just love them getting a lot of compliments from our patients. How comfortable they are and nice looking.

  • Chair issues
It was to low for me at my desk. It also cut into my kitchen floor. I missed the return date by 10 days. I'm disappointed as I didn't build it immediately. I've tried chair pads and it doesn't work out either. Mary Beatty

  • Not as comfortable as I hoped
The left side of seat goes down more than the right side does. I had a couple of other people sit in it and they agreed. The seat is not as cushiony as I hoped for as well. It is well made, just not quite what I wanted in a chair.

  • Missing screws
I got my chair today and built but I have no screws to finish assembling

  • Great chair !
We love this chair so much and it’s very comfortable! Just don’t stand and lean on the back as it may flip backwards which it will NOT do when you’re sitting in it.

  • Its NOT a 5 STAR Champ!
PROS * Six pieces and screws are well made and solid * After wasting an hour trying to uncover the construction riddle, I found the answer and put it together in 10 minutes 8) I sh-t you not! .....OK here some hints..... lay the INSIDE of the seat you know the surface that supports oyur fat lazy mass pace place this seat surface flush against the surface of a bed, letting the back of chair hang off the edge of the bed, ( most beds are 20-22 inches high that would make the very top of the chair back rest against the floor for perfect screw lining and tightening support ). All 8 screws can be lined up and tightened in this position.... CONS: * One screw got itself warped, the hole was way of the alignment with the screw * lumbar support is almost non existent unless you weigh 300+ pounds and your back just pushes against the back of chair with great force, creating its own lumbar support 8) * After sitting for 10 hours with two walk breaks the warped screw started to whine softly, i hate this noise and is why i stopped buying five wheel rollers....pc chairs Anyway I also keep any product that I purchase that comes in 4 stars or higher ... show more

  • Great chair for musicians
I am very happy with this chair! I'm a violinist and I needed a chair that I could use for practicing and to bring to gigs that wouldn't hurt my back while sitting through long rehearsals. A Wenger symphony chair works perfectly, but they are extremely expensive. This chair is perfect and at a great price. Difficult assembly- In case this saves anyone some time ... When I followed the directions in the order they were in, I could not connect the back rest to the frame. The screws were further back in the cushion and I couldn't get the screw into the place it was supposed to go. I ended up taking it all apart and starting over. I did not put the frame together first. Instead, I first connected one side of the back cushion to the single metal frame piece that it connected to. It was easy to align the screw to the place it goes by doing this step first. I did the same for the other side of the back cushion and the other side of the metal frame piece. I connected the screws so that they were loose enough that I could easily put both metal bars (horizonally) onto each side of the frame (which is vertical). Then I connected the screws that connected the seat cushion to the frame. The last thing I did was completely tighten all of the screws. ... show more
