  • Great piece of equipment
Have only had the RC-300 for a couple of weeks and already putting together some great tunes. It will take me a long time to learn all the little ins and outs of efficient track switching and putting together songs with 2 or 3 parts i.e. intro, main body, chorus and switching seamlessly between the parts but so far so good. I believe my guitar playing has already improved by being able to play along with the RC 300 on all the different parts of my compositions. The effects are good but I am mainly only using reverb, chorus, and delay for the acoustic stuff I am doing but flanger and phaser and heavy distortion don't sound that good on acoustic and aren't really in my bag of tricks yet. The rythmn section is also very versatile but I had to buy a couple FS6 foot switches to get a little more functionality to switch between beats and change effects. Highly recommend this machine. ... show more

  • Serious looping
I consider myself a semi-advanced looper and had been using the RC-30 (Yes, thirty) for a while now, so I decided it was time to upgrade to the 300. I am pretty amazed by all the things you can do with this machine, it is way better than I imagined and gives you plenty of possibilities that I didn't even know it was capable of when I first purchased it. The only thing I'm not very pleased with are on-board effects, they're absolutely horrible, but even though I don't regret a bit having this. Absolutely one of the best gear investments I've made so far. ... show more

  • Excellent tool!
Pattern Name: Pedal
This thing will do WAY more than I realized. It’s much more than just a looper. On a basic level it’s very intuitive to operate, but when you dig in, it has a ton of great features to enhance the quality of your loops. The percussion feature is great. You can adjust any of the beats to most any time to get exactly what you need to match the music. It’s very handy. ... show more

  • effects suck, looping is good
I bought this knowing that it had an octave effects for guitar. But to be honest all the effects sound like garbage. The actual looping and recording is good and I'm very happy with that part of it but all the other functions of the pedal to me are basically useless. I've used this for several gigs and it's done pretty well. But it will not replace an effects pedal ... show more

  • Buy nice or buy twice. I eventually bought this after trying all the others, and love it.
I've used lots of loopers (Digitech, Ditto, Pigtronix, etc.) but this one is hands-down my favorite, for both its versatility and intuitiveness. Good sound quality, which is crucial, and having 3 tracks really makes it a useful gadget. And it's just so simple to use. I would happily trade the controller pedal for a smaller form factor. But I've never used it, so maybe I'll discover a point to it down the road. I just wish it weren't quite so large, but I can't complain -- it's one of the better investments in gear that I've made. ... show more

  • How do you connect this up?
Pattern Name: Pedal
I am a newbie, and I have purchased a Boss Amplifier Speaker (ACS-LIVE) to plug in my acoustic guitar and mic, and so I want to use this looper as well. There is absolutely NO information anywhere on how to connect this looper to my amp and every single YouTube video launches straight into how the looper works but does NOT show you how to connect up everything. PLEASE can someone explain how I set everything up. I have no clue. Thanks so much! ... show more

  • teenage boy bass guitar playing heaven.
What can I say, top of the line product delivers as promised. I can only rate third party from what I hear in my home, but this was money well spent. So many different mixes and possibilities of sound with this product. My teenager even has plugged this in to our keyboard and played a loop through there and recorded it and now has that, and many other keyboard harmonics saved as tracks. And it will also download loops from the internet. expensive Christmas gift, but worth it. ... show more

  • A superb pedal I've used to perform - and record - all of my shows since 2012.
I love this pedal and have enjoyed doing absolutely everything I could do with it artistically - for the first time, looping is an instrument unto itself, not just a gimmick. The independent transport controls for each phrase are a huge improvement over the RC-50, as is the FX pedal and the USB audio port. It's a little heavy on menu navigation for something you're supposed to operate with your feet, and it's a shame it won't output 24-bit audio like the RC-50 did, but overall it's a marvelous pedal and the best footpedal available for loopers who want to stick with hardware. This thing is the secret sauce behind all of my live recordings for the last few years. (Google me if you would like to hear this thing in action.) I would be happy to answer anybody's questions about it - I'm not connected to the company in any way, just love this thing. ... show more
