Other than looking silly on your head, the bonnet works well. It is easy to use and fit well on both my head and my hairdryer. It takes a couple of tries to fit it securely and comfortably, especially if you are using curlers or other items in your hair. Obviously it is loud during the process because of the hairdryer noise. I have fine hair but a lot of it so when using rollers it took quite a bit of time, approximately 45 min, to get mostly dry. Note that I was using the cool setting on my dryer to avoid frizz. When I tried to use the heated setting on my hairdryer, it didn't take too long to get unbearably hot and I had to go back to cool. This may have just been my hairdryer, which blows out very hot air, and not the fault of the bonnet. The bonnet comes with a storage bag which is pretty small and easy to store. I haven't traveled with it but it would not take up much room in luggage. Overall I like the bonnet, when I have time to use it, and will continue to use. ... show more

The value here is not that its prefect, but its compact and highly portable. The attachment under the chin that keeps it securely on your head it not the most configurable or comfortable. The material does feel a bit cheap and it’s difficult to get a good seal around the crown of the head but it gets the job done. If you are a child of the 80s, as I am, and you remember how soothing it was to wear the dryer bonnet your mom had on hair washing day. This isn't *exactly* the same, and the strap under your chin feels silly BUT OMG so comforting and warm and brings back memories. Definitely worth the price!

    • Dries hair quickly, especially at the scalp
The drying time is very quick, and I like that it dries the scalp first! But I have curly hair, and this thing ruins the curls at the nape of my neck where the air blows hardest, making them really frizzy, so I stopped using it on styled hair. It is phenomenal for deep conditioning! I also don’t love having to be attached to my hair dryer for the duration or flipping my head upside down while wearing this thing to keep my curls voluminous after the dry. And it is not particularly comfortable especially with longer hair - my wet hair is falling in my face from under the cap, and the hat is either too tight and slides over my face, or too loose and tries to float away or cuts into my chin with the strap. Love this product! It exceeded my expectations and I have happy frizz free bouncy curls. I tried diffusing and a hooded dryer and neither worked for me. The diffusing took forever, and it created a little too much frizz. The hooded dryer was too big and left my curls flat. This product was a game changer. Inexpensive, does not take up any space, it’s comfortable and the bonnet if very big so my hair is not squished into it. I applied gel in my hair, pinned the roots at the front, flipped my head over and put my hair into the bonnet on warm heat/ low setting. I put the hose part in the back. Twenty minutes later I took off the bonnet, put the hose in the front for 10 minutes and I was fully dry, and I had super curls. I removed the pins, left my hair in the cast and put my hair up in a pineapple for the night. Next morning I removed the scrunchy and SOTC and was very pleased with the results. Lots of defined curls, no frizz and it’s lasted for days. My hair is on the thin side and I have classic curls. I would by this product again and again. ... show more

    • This product is genius.
I wanted a bonnet dryer that I could use while traveling. I had read negative reviews for other products so was looking for something that would overcome the other products’ problems. This worked beautifully. The bonnet has an adjustable drawstring that neatly covers all the hair rollers and yet can be pushed off the face while applying makeup. There is also an attached chin strap to supplement the drawstring if necessary but I didn’t need it. It has a very snug elastic connection that attaches to a hairdryer. I was able to use it with my own and also with a travel hairdryer and one of the wall-mounted dryers at a hotel but I think it might be too small for a dryer with a wider “barrel”. I agree with other reviewers that it can get very hot so is best with a dryer that has several heat settings so you can choose one that is comfortable. I damp dried my hair, then used setting lotion and rollers (for a 40s hairdo) and my hair was dry by the time I finished my makeup. The whole thing folds up into a compact carry bag.     • I DO NOT Recommend - Cheap Product & Strap Will Not Stay Fastened To Your Head!
The media could not be loaded. I saw the large amount of positive reviews & was so excited to try this product! And this product would be great IF the drawstring attachment (the one that’s supposed to tighten the bonnet to your head) actually WORKED. It does not work. The plastic piece on the drawstring, does not keep the drawstring in place and the drawstring slides in and out of the plastic piece (defeating the purpose), & never securing the bonnet to my head. I have to tie several little knots to try to get the drawstring to stay in place because the air from the blowdryer is pushing/forcing the bonnet right off my head.... 🤦♀️ Next comes the clip-on strap that goes around your chin — another freaking nightmare! These plastic clips are so cheap, they do not stay clipped to the setting that should fit snug around your chin. And the air blowing from the blowdryer is causing the bonnet to fly around & off my head, because both this strap AND the drawstring strap will not stay fastened or work as they’re intended to... so I wind up having to tie a KNOT with this cheap clip-on chin strap, and now this knotted chin strap is scratching & irritating the skin around my chin/neck area 🤦♀️ what a NIGHTMARE of a cheap product..... sometimes you get lucky on Amazon & get a really great product at an even better price but in this case for this specific brand, you definitely get what you pay for! ... show more
