I’ve been going to Physical Therapy for treatment of a stiff/sore neck. I saw one of the therapists using another brand of massager on a patient, and asked if they could try it in me. The reviews stressed that the Bob and Brad mini was smaller and lighter, but just as powerful and easier to operate, than competitors. My son and I use it at home every day, and I take it to every PT session, where my therapist gives me a 5 minute neck and shoulder massage. As I have had chronic pain for 15+ years, I really wish I had this sooner. It packs a powerful punch and with different attachments have been able to use it on most of the places that really hurt and offer some of the best relief I’ve ever managed on my own (without varying appointments which were largely the only help I had previously). It charges quickly, the hot & cold attachment also charge quickly, is good at getting hot & cold, and all fits neatly into its case. I’ve used it daily since I got it and fits easily into my backpack if I need to take it with me. It’s not a “travel size” per se but is definitely a smallish size to take with you if needed. It can probably be a bit heavy for some users I imagine but I’ve always been on the strong end and have no problem holding it for 10-30 minutes. Excellent customer service: responsive, caring, and helpful. Chose this product after much research and reading the reviews. Have been very pleased with the massage gun, finding it very effective in addressing leg pain after running and officiating. It has multiple attachments and the instructions are clear. An issue developed with the heat/cold attachment (would not remain attached). I contacted customer service who worked to resolve the issue and, in the end, provided a replacement. I was looking at a different brand in a store when another customer said to me that he had purchased and returned the item I was about to buy. That caused me to do more research and I discovered this brand. I had hoped to find the hot and cold feature, quiet operation, and lightweight. This massage gun does it all. (It did take me a minute to realize you have to charge the heating/cooling head as well as the gun itself.) I mentioned to my trainer that I had purchased this, and when he asked which brand and I told him, he responded very favorably. He said he uses some of their videos occasionally and they’re well regarded. I’ve used the massage gun quite a few times since I purchased it. The charge lasts for multiple uses and it recharges quickly. It’s really quiet and the varying levels of strength are helpful. It comes in a very nice looking case, and the gun with all its attachments fit snugly inside. It’s lightweight enough to use for as long as you need and easily packable for travel. I am a licensed massage therapist. I can do self-massage in limited ways without a machine to help myself if my muscles are tight and sore. I can also hurt my hands trying to release my own hamstrings or other larger muscles. In the past I avoided massager machines because I thought they all just worked with vibration. They were not working deep enough, only at skin level, and weren't truly effective for deep muscle release. This machine has totally changed my mind...thanks Bob and Brad...the "most famous therapists on the internet...in their opinion"! Their videos are on YouTube and they give a lot of information about using this tool they have endorsed. That is how I discovered this product. This massage gun works in a percussive manner. It uses a really fast motion that is truly effective to get into the muscles. It works. I love that it has several versatile attachments and a super nice little case to keep them in. If you are looking for a "sexual massager" this is probably not the one to choose. It would likely hurt a lot and bruise you even on a low setting, just saying. I am a little disappointed in the instructions and surprised they didn’t include the cautions I felt would be important regarding misuse. This is a powerful little machine that could hurt someone if used on nerves or other contraindicated spots. They do show excellent illustrations for those who understand the anatomy. I highly recommend that you learn how to use this machine by watching multiple videos from Bob and Brad. If you go to a massage therapist who understands therapeutic massage, or to a PT let them know you have this gun, or are thinking of getting it so you can talk to them about it. They can help you learn how to use it safely. I would be happy to help a client learn to use this machine, and I will be recommending it to some of them. I want to say that it should be used very gently, especially at first, and on MUSCLES, not on bone or in nerve "pockets" like arm pits. I haven't even used it on high speed so I imagine it would be powerful enough for anyone who wanted to use it. If your neck is the problem they have a massager for that…this one might be too harsh in that area. Just know this is not a toy. It is a serious piece of equipment and an effective one used properly. That being said mine is now named “Edward”. I was getting hamstring tightness and Edward helped me quickly release the muscles that I simply could not manage with my own hand strength. I’m grateful. I go to a massage therapist and get massage regularly, but in between sessions I will be asking Edward to help me save my hands for my clients, and I’m sure he will help me keep the pain of my tight muscles away. ... show more
