The umbrella came in a large box which was great because it was mostly assembled. The directions were very easy to follow. The only small issue we had was when we placed the large umbrella assembly onto the base part, there were two screws to install to attach the two parts together. One of the pairs of holes did not match up perfectly so it took some working to make the one hole larger so the screw would go into both holes. Otherwise super simple!! This thing is awesome, it is much bigger than I was thinking but it fits perfectly on my patio. Putting it together is a breeze with only 4 bolts on the stand and two screws for the mast and two handles that just push on. I assembled it by myself but the putting the mast together would have been easier with two people. This is very sturdy and you can position it almost anywhere easily. Only one small complaint is the powder coat finish is a little thin in a couple of spots and the metal shows, not a big deal at all. ... show more

I bought two cheap ones last year and with the Florida wind it just broke them easily. The media could not be loaded. Our deck is relatively big 15*24 ft. During summer, it’s covered with full sunlight starting from early morning. With a good coverage umbrella, we can spend lots of time on the deck enjoying sunshine and the small forest in our backyard. Our old umbrellas from Homedepot was broken bc the fabric weathered away in a couple of years. I invested this more expensive one for this summer. I put this up only a couple of weeks. At this time in northeast, it has gone through snow, rain, and strong wind so I can just tell the fabric is much thicker and should last for a long time. The aluminum pole is strong and pretty sturdy. it’s a piece of cake to assemble by myself, though note that I'm tall and strong. The biggest problem, in fact, was getting the box through the house and onto the deck, because it was so long and awkward. The included tools were adequate for the few bolts that needed to be put in and tightened. Mentioning this because the tools included with some items are not suitable. Once it was all together, the umbrella goes up and moves around effortlessly. We have a lot of wind coming across our deck so I'll definitely need to either put weights on the legs or screw the legs to the deck. You might not need to do so, depending on your location. I think I'd prefer for the handles to be held on with bolts rather than by spring-loaded ball bearings. That's my only suggestion for improving the design or manufacture. ... show more

Umbrella is well made and sturdy! Worth the money! I also ordered the weighted base. When ordering online, I am not just concerned about the quality of the product but more importantly the quality of the customer service. For instance when we received the shipment of the umbrella, the delivery service had ripped open the box in transit and the canopy had a cut in it about 2 inches long and the support post scratched in multiple places. I contacted BLUU immediately and sent pictures to report the issue. Anna was very responsive, very helpful and very prompt with replacing the canopy, the support post, and a small refund for our inconvenience due to the fact that the original was not in perfect condition when received even though the delivery service was the reason for the issue. I cannot say enough how great this company was in helping me with this replacement and very communicative. I will be buying more outdoor patio products from this company in the future. ... show more
