  • Good equipment or device
Have had mine for 1.5 years now, only thing done is replace batteries. Still gives good readings and accurate. Easy to read and use. I really like the fact that it uses a cuff around the arm to read pressure with.

  • Good blood pressure monitor that speaks your blood pressure
The media could not be loaded. One of the most important qualities of a blood pressure monitor is that it doesn’t squeeze my arm so tight that I am in pain. It is surprising how this seems to be an issue with so many blood pressure devices on the market. My previous blood pressure device squeezed my arm so tight that I was in pain for most of the measurement and it left permanent marks on my arm that took at least a day to heal. I am happy to say that this one will give you a mostly pain-free blood pressure measuring experience. For me, the last few seconds, when it is about to finish taking the measurement is somewhat painful/uncomfortable, but this is much better than many of the products on the market! Plus, it tells you (via audio) your blood pressure. Pros: - Mostly pain-free blood pressure measuring experience (see above) - Accurate measurements - Clearly indicates which blood pressure zone you are in (red, orange, yellow, green bar printed on the device) - Clear voice reads the numbers to you - Fits nicely in carrying case - Customer service is helpful if you have trouble using the device Cons: - No AC adapter - Micro USB cable is short (only about 20 inches). However, many devices use Micro USB cables, so you may already have a longer one. Notes: - When you turn on the device, you will see a battery indicator. Please note that this battery indicator does not work like the one on your phone. Even though it is half-shaded, it does not mean that the battery is at 50% - it just means that the battery is somewhere between low and 100%. - While the instructions are not difficult to follow, they are somewhat hard to remember since there are so many variations on using the SET and MEM buttons for various amounts of time. So, I would recommend keeping the instruction manual in the case with the device (it will fit). - The instructions are slightly inaccurate regarding turning the audio on and off. The instructions state "When the monitor is off, press and hold "MEM" button and "SET" button to enter the mode for turn on or turn off the voice". However, the instructions should state "When the monitor is off, press and hold "MEM" button and "SET" button for 3 seconds to enter the mode for turn on or turn off the voice". - The instructions sometimes tell you to hold down a button for 3 seconds, but I recommend you keep holding the button until you see the screen change the way it says it will change in the instructions. Holding longer than 3 seconds will still get you to where you need to be, but holding for shorter than 3 seconds won’t always get you into the right mode. ... show more

Just what I needed to help me and my mother keep track of her blood pressure since her last stroke whereupon she lost a significant percentage of her vision.

  • Sweet Blood Pressure Monitor
Out of the box, the Blood Pressure device was easy to intuitively 'figure' out without reading the instructions, which is important to a lot of folks like me. I usually "play" with new devices first, then read the manual. One of the things I like is a "quick start" instruction page that is separate from the owners manual. I use the owners manual to get more in depth intelligence. On the subject of owners manual, I did like the fact there was a table of content - which is always helpful. Furthermore, the users manual followed a logical path to full use and included lots of helpful pictures. Kudos! Lastly about the users manual, I did find the "About Blood Pressure" helpful and I must admit, I learned more than I was expecting. I could have found the same information on the internet; however, I found the Renpho information very informative & helpful - especially the explanation of Sytolic & Diastolic As far as the actual device, I really like the 'wedge' shape. The first time I used the blood pressure monitor I was sitting at my kitchen table with the monitor laying on the table. Being wedged shape, I could very easily read the display without having to pick up the device. The display is super easy to ready, including the pulse count. Moreover, the screen is not polluted with superfluous data/info to distract from what is important. I'm not a fan of the audio - even though I definitely see a use case for an announcement of the test. I have not turned it off; however, I did read there is a way to mute it. The carry case is very nice as well; however, a little cramped. I've accidentally turned on the device when stuffing it in the carry case. A manual off/on switch on the side would be helpful. Lastly, sync'ing to an app would go a long way. I have a Renpho scale and track my weight/body composition every day. I'd love to see that w/ the blood pressure monitor and would be willing to pay extra for that feature. In conclusion, the over-all quality and functionality of the blood pressure monitor is a 5.0 star rating. ... show more
