Honestly, I'm no stranger to Blendjets. There are now 4 of them in my household and I have been using Blendjet 2 for a few years now. These high-powered portable blenders last a long time and are shockingly durable for their price. The designs and customizations are unmatched in the portable blender market. You're not going to find a Lisa Frank, Nickelodeon or Disney portable blender with this much class and sophistication that isn't a Blendjet. This second Blendjet 2 was purchased because I needed to replace my first Blendjet 2 which had gotten a bit busted (it was my own fault, nothing to do with the company) and this one was on sale on Amazon. I got the lavender color. It's more of a cool lavender in person, like a pastel indigo, with a powder finish. I'd describe the color as true lavender, like the flower-- bluish rather than pinkish purple. The Blendjet is the most powerful wireless, handheld blender I have ever used. The old one I used to use wasn't nearly as fast, strong or long-lasting as the Blendjet (2). I use mine to make smoothies, shakes, protein drinks, slushies, creams, sauces, flours, meals, dressings, vegan mayo & ricotta "cheese", "nice cream", batter and dips. There isn't really a limit to what you can do with it. After dental surgery, my Blendjet was essential for preparing my liquefied meals. I blended solid foods with some oatmilk and seasonings and ended up with delicious, satisfying, creamy soups! It's a kitchen essential because it gets the job done whilst being quiet (you can use it in the morning without waking up your roommates), fast, and super easy to clean! No more struggling with big clunky, awkward parts as with a typical blender. Plus the small size makes it more convenient to carry around the house, on the go or whatnot. Here are a few tips from a seasoned Blendjet user, inspired by some complaints I've been seeing in the reviews: 1. Make sure there is at least some air between the top of the contents and the lid otherwise it's going to be too full and struggle to blend. 2. If making a thick smoothie, use enough liquid (a 3:2 ratio liquid to solid) is usually okay, but keep in mind the blades are much smaller than those of a normal sized blender! Always ALWAYS put the liquid in first and add hard-frozen items gradually between blend sequences. 3. When making a flour/powder from oats, nuts or rice, blending on pulse mode will yield the best results, and don't put too much in at one time or you're just going to waste the battery. 4. Don't leave your Blendjet with liquid in it soaking for more than a week. I do not recommend letting it sit for over 2 weeks without the soapy or vinegar water being changed. 5. The ones with iridescent jars have a coating on them that will eventually peel off (the outside, thankfully). I've never seen flaking, chipping or peeling on the bases or lids. Just the iridescent jars. 6. Remove the charger after the LED circle becomes fully blue and avoid using cellphone chargers with it as much as you can (even if it won't ruin your Blendjet to use cellphone chargers, the risk is there. Devices these days have all sorts of batteries and not all wires are created equally). 7. Avoid using hot liquids in your Blendjet. Warm and lukewarm are fine. If making soup, transfer the room temperature mixture into a pot or bowl to be heated up separately. 8. Buy the 32oz jar if you plan on making large smoothies or shakes with a lot of frozen chunks going into it. Cut frozen fruit into smaller chunks for a smoother blend without stops and stutters. Large chunks of frozen pineapple tends to get stuck in the blades and cause stops. Free recipes: Fake Grimace Shake (Vegan Style) 8oz oat milk 2 handfuls of blueberries 1 tbsp maple syrup 1/2 frozen semi-ripe banana, sliced 3 frozen strawberries 2 frozen cherries 1 drop of vanilla Flavorful Nacho Bean Soup (for after dental surgery) 8oz of oat milk 1/2 can of habichuelas or Pinto beans Smoked paprika, salt to taste, taco seasoning A few Tortilla chips (trust me!) I've been wanting to try this personal blender for so long but kept hesitating because I was disappointed so many times with other purchases I made on personal blenders. I'm so glad I finally took the chance of being disappointed again cause I am in love with this thing. It goes everywhere I go and makes drinks for any and all around me. It's too the point that I need to purchase a few more so I can just leave them at my work, home, friends house, etc., cause I get in a panic and turn around to go back home if I realize I've forgotten it. Great product! It works well and feels solid. Giving it 4 stars only because they claim it's 'quiet.' I’m pretty sure they tested it next to a jet engine because 'quiet' it is not. Very long story short: the second BlendJet I purchased was part of the product recall and months after announcing the recall and being advised to stop using the current BlendJet unit, I finally received a replacement unit (no new news here). HOWEVER, a few weeks after beginning to use this unit, it started to make a loud grinding noise. I “assumed” – incorrectly – that BlendJet would simply replace the unit but I thought it might take a week or so to get the replacement, so I ordered another unit from Amazon as I used the unit 3 times a day, every day. Disappointingly, when I contacted customer service (ok, technically a “Customer Service Hero” … NOT), I was advised that the replacement unit was out of warranty. I responded by stating that the unit must have been defective from the onset and questioned whether the replacement unit was a substandard substitution and if not, then a 30-day warranty on the product tells me all I need to know about the craftsmanship of the product. Fortunately, the unit I purchased from Amazon is still in the original shipping box and Amazon is very good about returns and I can exchange for a real blender like Magic Bullet. I’d conclude by stating that the video which the CEO & Co-founder, Ryan Pamplin, posted to YouTube 5-months ago to apologize for the delay in providing replacement units and state that his goal is not to sell blenders but rather to “ensure that we’re happy means the world to us” is obviously nonsense; nothing more than a well scripted marketing ploy.     • Great little blender. Some issues with ice.

This is a pretty good little blender and I've used it for plenty of smoothies and shakes. Easy cleaning: spray detergent in it, then run the sink into the cup, and press the button to blend. Keep it going. This will wash everything out. If yours leaks after some cleaning/use, make sure you put the gaskets on right. I thought mine was leaking and had issues connecting; turns out I had put the gaskets in wrong. The one with a hollow/grooved side goes on the base, to create a suction. The solid piece goes on the lid. CONS: • It struggles with full pieces of ice but you can do a couple pieces and hold the cup sideways so it goes a little at a time and doesn't overwhelm the motor.
