After trying regular hoses and then hose fabric expandable ones, i got tired of constant kinks or hoses tearing after one seasons. I decided to go to a metal one and so far, i am glad i did. this hose is definitely stronger and tearing will not be an issue. as far as kinking, since the outer shell is a steel braid, kinking will not happen either. you do lose some maneuverability, but it still rolls up in a nice circle when you are done with it. moving it around when the running is running is when you notice the weight, but it doesnt impact the use or the ability to move it to the correct position. with the water off, it is very light and very easy to move around or coil up. ... show more

It’s the only type of hose I will ever want again because it is strong yet lightweight and easy to move around. I wish it came with an automatic rewind system. The only negative is that when it is on the ground and you step on it, it is slippery.

I did like how light and easy it was to handle, no problem there but it only lasted a year before leaks started to happen, I try to fix them, even put in a new washer but didn't work, the more I repaired, the more leaks would come, so I bought a new one and will see how this one works out..

    • Great Hose But Doesn't Last Long
I like everything about this hose except the fact that I have to keep replacing it every two years. I bought the protection plan when I bought the hose April 2021 and just filed a claim because it sprung a leak between the coils. I was reimbursed with an Amazon Gift Card on the spot. That part was nice. So because I like the hose, I bought an identical one again. I noticed on the box it says LIFETIME WARRANTY. Fingers crossed that I don't have to put it to the test. ... show more

What do I like about this hose? Well, it definitely won't kink. I tried. It is lightweight and easy to handle and put away. What do I not like? The opening for the water to exit is a tiny hole like on one of those retractable hoses. I can't use it without some sort of nozzle. I don't like that. I want my water to come out all at once, not squeeze through a little hole. Now I need to go buy a spray nozzle. Oh, and whatever you do, don't step on it. I ran out the back door yesterday to stop my dogs from fighting over a toy, stepped on this hose, and it was like stepping on a rolling pin. My foot shot out from under me and I almost crashed.     • Both hoses sprungs leaks within two months
As other haver reported, lose are prone to leaking and both of my hoses started leaking in the middle of the hose. Used 1x per day to water plant containers on the outside deck. Coiled up after each use.
