Fair enough I don't do a lot of gardening or car washing so I don't put much weight into a garden hose. But I hate when the hose is too thick you can't wind it or unkink it so I got a hose that was nylon and expandable - which promptly got a hole in it when I was using it against the paver patio! This hose was purchased as a replacement hose to that one. I finally hooked it up this weekend. First of all, I'm not super strong but I was able to connect it to the outside spigot without any issues or the water squirting in all directions! I was able to carry it up onto the deck without any issues. I connected the nozzle it comes with - recommendation was to use only this nozzle. Well, you don't need another nozzle because the one it came with DOES IT ALL! From a trickle or sprinkle to an all out power washer! WTF? I was so amazed! I started off just wanting to water the flower pots I was planting for the season and spent the rest of the day hosing off everything I could think of! It washed off bird poop from the wood, completely cleaned off my hot tub filter, got every spec of sand out of the water shoes we took on vacation to Aruba! And even though the hose is metal, it didn't scratch the deck that had just been restained! This hose and nozzle set is awesome! BUY IT!! ... show more

LOVE this hose. The water does not get hot like others do. And it never kinks! I've used this hose for years now and love the temp control that it offers vs a hose made from vinyl, which is essentially, plastic. The water would get hot and burn. This hose doesn't do that which also if better for the environment as people are not wasting water to get it back to a temp that doesn't burn mammals or their garden plants I DO suggest using plumbing tape for fittings when attaching to your water line as well as your spray nozzle. That is true for any hose you decide to purchase, not just this one. ... show more

Ok, I just got this hose yesterday, but OMG the differences from your standard heavy duty hose. There is almost no weight to this 100’ hose. I nearly fell backwards the first time I started to tug it off the reel, expecting the same battle I had with the old hose. I walked the entire length of hose around my yard like I was just strolling. No tugging, unkinking or anything. No cold hose that won’t lay flat. It just works perfectly, like a hose should. I go through hoses every 2 years like clockwork. The reason is because of the drag along the driveway and around corners of a brick house. This hose solved all my problems with all of that! No more tearing because this is made of metal and the amazing thing is that it is super light too. I do not recommend driving over the hose, I think that's a little dramatic, but the hose is very durable nonetheless. Some reviews show defects and that's happens with all products on the market. I got a good one and for the price at 100 ft, u can't beat it. I highly recommend this hose! ... show more

I live in the desert southwest which is tough on hoses -- heat, rocks, thorns, etc. I love this hose. The only problem is my hands get black every time I use it. I tried scrubbing with soapy water, then with baking soda. Neither helped. Next, I wiped all 75 feet with Goo Gone and then washed off that residue. That helped a lot but I still occasionally get black marks on my hands when I water. As you can imagine, I really, really love this hose or I would not put up with this. I wonder if mine is unusual since not too many other people mention this. ... show more

These hoses are just so good! I have several around the house and love that they are lightweight and flexible. I have 50 feet of hose in a hose box, a 50-foot section hanging on a wall hanger, then a 25-foot section on a wall hanger. Before you hang your hose up on the wall hanger, turn the water off at the faucet and let the water drain out of the hose. It becomes incredibly flexible again and you can loop your hose up with no problems. ... show more

I believe it will last much longer that the other hoses that contract, but after a year so of use the hose explodes. I don't believe that will be the case with this one.
