I decided to give this hose a try even though I don't tend to buy a lot of As Seen On TV products because of a few bad experiences with past purchases. This was going to be my 6th hose in just 2 summers so I figured what the heck I might as well try something I normally wouldn't do so I bought this hose. When I received the hose the first thing I noticed was that it didn't weigh that much at all which is definitely a good thing and it's not made cheap at all which is another bonus. It was extremely easy to hook up and the nozzle also super easy to use and the on/off valve is also a great feature as well. So basically everything I read about this hose including customer reviews that pointed me in the direction to buy it was spot on. it claimed to be light enough for even a small kid to pick up, made strong and not cheap, won't kink and/or expand to a bubble and burst, super easy to hook up to the spigot and the nozzle it comes with is definitely perfect for it and very easy to adjust to find the perfect flow of water. So trust me when I say that this product was spot on with everything it claimed to be and claimed to do as well. I'm very happy with this hose and that I decided to buy it after I read other reviews on it. That's why I'm leaving my own review so hopefully i can help someone else the way someone helped me. Loved the ease to use it, , no more lugging around a heavy hose. At the end of three months, it started leaking at the nozzle end. I contacted the company who sold it thru Amazon, , and they said I needed the receipt from Amazon. (Long gone). Tried using it the following year, and the leak just got worse, so the 5 yr warranty is a joke, without the receipt. Beware, and hold onto your receipt! ... show more

So I bought two different hoses and this one has already cracked and it’s not in the sun. It has no pressure on it and it leaks? It already has a crack inside of the tubing.     • Toxic properties of the Bionic Steel hose

I bought 2 of these hoses in 2022. The hose itself is very nice....winds up very nicely and very easy to stretch out and use. I'm sure it would last a very long time. My issue is that I took some cuttings from plants and placed them in containers and watered with the exterior water, from the hose, since I have a water softener. The cuttings died. I couldn't understand it so, I conducted an experiment. I took a cutting, put it in a container and watered with water from this Bionic Steel hose. Each time I took photos. The plant started dying within 4 days and was completely dead within 7 days. I did this 4 times. I then took cuttings, placed them in containers, removed the hose, and used water from the spigot. Again, 4 times. All plants lived and thrived. I have no idea what's in the construction of these hoses that would kill a plant in a container in 7 days. I can't even think of someone drinking water from this hose! These hoses are going in the garbage. I purchased polyurethane hoses from Water Right that have no toxic materials and can be used to drink from. On 18Apr24, I put a cutting into water drawn from the Water Right hose. On 20Apr24, two roots had begun, one being approx.. 5/8” long. Typically, this doesn’t happen until day 4. None of the cutting showed any signs of dying. Anyway, I’m sold on the non-toxic properties of these (Water Right) hoses….I’ll drink to that!!! ... show more
