What I really like about this gun safe, is of courses the fingerprint feature, it’s the best feature. I think on a Gun safe for parents with children that could Easily learn the combination and get access to it, but I feel like this fingerprint feature is a really good safety feature. I also really like the size of this gun safe. It’s big enough as it states in the picture to fit 2 handguns in them although only have one in there it still holds some room for my bullets too. I also like that it takes AA batteries that I end up getting some that rechargeable so I feel like they’re gonna last a lot longer with this Gun safe. The installation is super easy, which I like that it’s didn’t take us all day to put it together, and I like how the instructions are very clear and able to read. I will say that it is made with good quality. I haven’t had any problems with it at all. I do know that it has been in my closet in a hiding spot and I haven’ppt had to change the batteries yet so I know the batteries are gonna last a long time too. I like that the price listed for this gun safe on Amazon compared to others with fingerprint or biometric. This one is in the lower to average price bracket making it a very cheaper and much more affordable. I I think the price is fair given all the features of this gun, safe box and all the multiple locks and capability features. It does have too. The only bad thing I could say about this gun save that I didn’t like was that the lid swings wide-open really hard almost with a good force so someone could get hurt if too close so be careful that was the only thing that really bothered me was just lid opening up really really really fast and hard when you needed to get into the safe. Overall, I’m very happy that I did get this safe to protect my family and protect and keep safe. I would definitely recommend this gun safe to all my family and friends, and too anyone looking for a fingerprint lock on your gun safe to prevent anybody from getting in it but you this is definitely the one I recommend! ... show more

First off, this is a nice gun safe. It’ll definitely keep little hands from reaching dangerous items. It’s made well enough to deter hasty thieves as well, if you secure it with the provided screws so it can’t be taken. Setting the safe’s password and fingerprint is really quite easy. All one has to do is to first use the key to unlock the safe. It requires 4 AA batteries which are not included, as per the usual. The batteries are simple to install, just a typical plastic battery compartment with a typical plastic door. If you get confused on which way the batteries go in, just remember the negative side of the battery goes in against the spring, that’s how I remember anyway.After the batteries are installed, there is a button on the inside that is pressed for 2 seconds or so that puts it in password/fingerprint setting mode.When in this mode, it’s as simple as entering a 3 to 6 number password and hitting the # key to set it. In order to setup a fingerprint, again the button on the inside must be pressed for 2 seconds. Then, one just has to put their finger on the scanner a total of 4 times, each time until it beeps and the light turns blue. That’s it. I have seen another review complaining about not being able to turn off the beeping of the keypad or beep of the fingerprint reader. The manual makes it seem like the numbers 1 through 4 have to be pushed all at the same time for 5 seconds. This is not the case, as what it’s really trying to say is to press and hold the number 4 key for 5 seconds and this mutes the beeping. This can be done without having to open the safe or pressing the inside button first, which means it can be set to beep so you can tell if someone (perhaps a child) is tampering with it but can easily turn it off any time it’s needed. The inside of the gun safe is fairly spacious as far as gun lock-boxes go, with plenty of room for standard full size automatics or revolvers, though I would measure yours and compare it to the inside dimensions depicted in the item’s images/description. ... show more

I am ultra paranoid about the safety of my firearms. And this biometric gun safe is the perfect addition to that safety. Using the biometric lock, it only allows me access to the pistol I store in there and prevents anyone else from getting in. I can also access the pistol at night when I can't see very clearly to push the numbers and I know exactly where to touch so it will open and give them quick access. ... show more

Update*** I am lowering my rating. I did a factory reset on the safe because the biometric finger reader wasn't working well. It still takes 3 or more tries to get the safe to open. The box is a perfect size, I bought it to sit next to my bed on the night stand and also to be able to take it on vacation. The biggest problem I have is the bio-metrics don't read my finger often and it locks it's self out. Also I haven't figured out how to mute the sound as it's very loud. I am going to try and do a factory reset and setup the bio-metrics again to see if that makes a difference. I scanned my finger while I was standing up as that's the position I would be in when I try to open the safe. ... show more

This is a nice safe, but it's way to loud. Thus beeps every time you press a number key and when opens, and is extremely loud. Programming fingerprint and number code is easy. Instructions for disabling beeps in very unclear. I tried several times to silence to no avail. Returning product
