I've had the same sit-up bench for 20 years. It's inclined but I have to put 3 books under it to make it aggressive enough after all this time. I saw a cheap curved sit-up bench and ordered it. It was small and flimsy but the design was good. I threw it out and ordered this one. The pads are wide and thick and the bench is wide and long. Its twice the size of the cheap one and stable enough to lean and twist as far as I want. On the highest setting I won't be needing any books under it for a very long time. This is not an 80lb gym piece, but for home use it is more than adequate. I do sit-ups every morning to keep my lower back strong and this machine is a step up for sure. After years of using a straight slant bench with A thick pad for sit-ups and crunches, I decided to replace because the foam was cracking and old. This is a sleeker design, was easy to assemble (less than 15 minutes) and seems plenty sturdy and stable. I especially appreciated the nylon nuts. Toss out the little hex wrench and open ended wrench they include with the kit. They’re too thin and small and hard to use and use your own tools if possible. The board itself is curved, which is new to me but I see the advantage of the design. I’m older so would have appreciated a thicker pad on the board itself but it wasn’t punishing. The reverse crunch handle is a great feature and I see myself using that quite a bit. Bottom line, it’s a solid piece of equipment at a fair price that works well and will look good in any home gym environment without taking up too much room. ... show more

Sit-up and leg raise equipment. Better than i expected. Very sturdy, does not move when i'm in motion during usage. Mobile, easy to move around from one location to another due to being lighter than some sit-up equipment. Padding is adequate. I'm sure it can support a person with a weight of 250 pounds, but not sure of the maximum weight bearing. Assembly was less than 20 minutes. Great equipment for the price point. Easy to assemble, very sturdy and great for doing sit ups. A problem I had at first was that there is a gap between the stem of front two rollers and the bench that it’s attached to. This caused it to loosen as I was doing sit ups with my ankles against these front rollers so I tightened the two side bolts as much as I could and then pounded a wood shim in the gap between the stem of the front rollers and the bench. This kept the stem solid and eliminated the problem. Easy fix. I use it every day and do recommend it. ... show more

Great sit up bench and the price is good as well. Easy enough to put together and seems sturdy for me (5'9" and 150lbs). My husband (6'4" 250lbs) doesn't feel as comfortable on it as me, meaning it moves a little when he uses it, and when he does the leg lifts where you're sitting on it backwards, the whole thing will lift up if he's not careful. But I am still giving this 5 stars because we bought it more for me to use, we know that we have to spend more $$ to get things that are strong enough for him. So for the price you can't really beat this. It is comfortable and super easy to store inside the house without taking up much room. 5 stars also for customer service!! We had to contact Finer Form because we received one bent piece and they responded instantly and were very helpful/sent replacement within 2 days. Highly recommend. ... show more

Okay, starting with what's missing. One nut and one plastic protective end cap to the bench Frame. End cap isn't that big of a deal as a few strips of electrical or black duct tape will probably suffice just as well. The missing nut, it seems, may not be that big of a deal either since the holes were drilled so poorly for the padded leg extension that I had to hammer the bolts to get them through the frame. The bolt with no nut is on that frame and I don't think it's going anywhere without a few whacks in the opposite direction! One nut was rusty out of the box. Hopefully the hardware isn't described as 'stainless' because it definitely isn't! The wrench did not fit the nuts well are all, but I'm stocked on tools so an old craftsman did the trick. The welds don't seem all that solid, but we'll see how it goes. I'm not a small guy @ 250, but well under the weight limit of the bench. It's not NOT solid, but it definitely has some movement when I'm doing sit-ups. What can I say. It's $130 and shipped from China. If I can find something better made, I would consider upgrading at some point, but for the price point, and not factoring in the missing hardware, it's about what I'd expect. ... show more
