This actually numbs the pain completely, and I really like that it is a spray-on product, so you don't have to press or scrape on the very place that's sensitive; and so that you only get it on the areas where you need it. Also, the scent is not obnoxious, and fades fairly quickly. However, I knocked off a star because it's SO hard to press the sprayer. It's very smooth and slippery (so no grip) and at an angle (so you can't stand it on a counter and lean on it), and that makes it hard for someone whose pain is in their arms/hands and is associated with weakness. Because of its good qualities, I will buy it again, but honestly, if you the manufacturer are reading this, please please fix the design of the spray part. ... show more

    • Spray difficult for me
I love this product! It gives my arthritic wrist pain relief. I’m not sure if I have a defective spray on mine but my husband has to help me with applying it. Then it just comes out in a stream rather than a spray. I can live with the medicinal scent since it fades after a while and actually helps clear my sinuses! 🙂 Think I will try a roll on version next to see if that is more user friendly. ... show more

    • This is the first such product that I have used that actually works, plus it works fast.
It really works, it works fast and it smells good. The only issue I have initially was that the top of the nozzle that you push on to make it spray was quite stiff but it seems to have loosened up with use. Either that or I have just learned how to press on it better. I am leary of products like this that have 20 or more ingredients. This one has one... menthol. I have knee problems and a hip that is prone to bursitis. I wanted to get out for a short walk today and enjoy the beautiful spring weather, but if it hadn't been for Biofreeze I would have been stuck at home in front of the TV. Both my right knee and my right hip were hurting but I sprayed both and was able to walk. ... show more
