Well I just bought this and it arrived yesterday and I spread it. So there is no way I can honestly give you a fair review on the effectiveness of the product. It does spread easily in my handheld broadcast spreader, so that checks off two of the star questions. Value, I say yes, I found some more expensive and less volume. But, I will have to wait and see if it addressed my problems in my yard. It says it starts acting immediately after applying and a generous watering. We shall see. For those that don't know, this product was formerly branded as Bayer Advanced. It's the same product just under a different name now. Overall, it's good product for lawn or garden areas and keeps a variety of the nasty bugs at bay for quite some time.

    • Keeps the mole population down briefly.
This worked great for 2 weeks. Not a single mole hill. However, it does require frequent applications and in that regard, is an expensive item especially if you have a large area to cover. I have been fighting these moles for 5 years. Can someone please help me find something that will actually get the moles out of my yard. I live in a very rural area and have decided I want to kill those suckers! ... show more

Husband uses this on our lawn in South Carolina to deprive the moles/voles a food source. It also reduces other insect critters. Read instructions carefully! Should NOT be used near open water, streams or ponds!

Surprised at how quickly it worked given it’s mainly a preventative. Less than 24 hours later and my yard is covered in dead grubs I do agree that it goes a lot quicker than what the label says though. Would almost double what you think you’re going to need based off their recommendations

I don't know if the headline is clear. Here's what I experienced. - 5,000 sq ft yard, give or take - single bag indicates it is good for up to 10,000 sq ft I put down 1 bag. Yes it seemed to stop bug damage on most of the yard. But there are these 2 areas, where my yard bumps up to adjacent both neighbors' flower beds. The bug damage was only slowed down, not stopped. Which kinda surprised me 'cuz I had just put down what I thought was 10K sq ft worth of insecticide on my 5K sq ft yard. So with much hesitation, a month later I put down another bag. But not on the whole yard. I focused on those long stretches that butt up to neighbors' flower beds. 1 week later I'm beginning to see the grass making some gains in those areas. Which is great for the grass. But wow I just don't want to put down that much insecticide again. 'Cuz of the environment, you know. So yea I really like how this product works as a systemic. Need a systemic plus a contact to give grass a chance here in north texas. But, I think I'll research for a different systemic for next summer. Just in case it works without having to put down so much. OK, your milage will surely vary. That was my milage. ... show more
