If you want an e-ink color reader, with a 7 inch screen that holds charge for at least a day with heavy usage, this could be for you. The good: Android based, I personally use hoopla, pressreader, nytimes that are free with my library subscription. The bad: the writing experience is not that seamless. The pen keeps disconnecting, and you will need to click one button to reconnect. Ugly: Rather slow, hope they release a premium one with latest android, more RAM. I know its a personal perference, I use my personal smartphone for audio-video, I use my kindle scribe for writing and making notes, and I use this bigme 7 for pressreader, nytimes, and hoopla reading. Nothing more. And a day of battery is enough for me. So based on price and size , its 5 out of 5 star for me. ... show more

    • Looking for an android color e reader?
Yes, this has the google play store. It opens to the door to audible, kindle books and even kobo apps can be installed on this device. Even YouTube! The flexibility is worth the extra money since I have a pretty big kindle library. The device is not perfect. The color screen is serviceable. It comes with a digital pen. Comes with a case. It has page turning buttons. It feels ok, in terms of material used. But, the battery does not seem to be as long as my kindle (manga and basic model) or my kobo libra colour. Does kind of quick or an e reading device. I don’t have it timed or any data that shows this but I charge the device 2-3 times a week vs once every other week with the competition. Worth the extra money? For the flexibility of having both kindle, kobo and digital library books in one spot. ... show more

Lo devolví, prefiero gastar un poco mas y obtener una mejor experiencia, luego de dos días de uso puedo decir que: Para escribir notas no es lo mejor pues su pantalla es muy lisa y la caligrafía queda bastante fea. Probé algunas plantillas preinstaladas en la aplicación de notas y en algunas áreas no se podía escribir (en alguna plantilla, no en todas). La funcionalidad de OCR no es muy precisa, no reconoce los espacios entre palabras. Al cambia de orientación la pantalla la aplicación de notas no gira. Como la experiencia no fue muy satisfactoria en la aplicacion de notas me pase a OneNote de MS, pero allí la experiencia fue peor, esta aplicación creería que no esta hecha para estos dispositivos. Descargue la aplicación Bigme cloud en mi teléfono pero nunca la pude usar me pedía un código que nunca supe de donde obtenerlo, a pesar de haber creado la cuenta en Bigme. Tampoco pude crear una contraseña para el acceso al dispositivo por la razón anteriormente explicada. Probé el navegador que viene preinstalado, pero cuando me registre con mi cuenta de gmail, me decía que cambiara de navegador ya que este era inseguro. En lo único que me pareció útil fue en la lectura de pdf`s y paginas web. Me decepciono, cuando lo desempaque de su caja muy bonita y cuidadosamente empacado, pensé: UUUaaauu, de entrada se ve genial, pero otra cosa es encenderlo y tratar de usarlo. ... show more

    • Not worth it.
The color is practically non existent. The software is unusable and the screen is far too grainy. I had to return it quickly it was completely unusable.

This is my first e-book, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm absolutely pleased! I like that it’s in color, and the book list looks nice with the covers, and I like the quick response to gestures, buttons and actions on the screen (I’m not comparing it to smartphones or tablets, these are completely different technologies). I probably would have liked a more powerful battery, but it doesn’t bother me, with the backlight and Wi-Fi turned off, I was able to read 5 books of approximately 300 pages each on one charge, and that’s more than enough for me. Notes, browser, audiobooks, e-books of any format - everything is available on this small device. Type-C, case, and stylus are good additions for this price. ... show more

    • Poor implementation on OS. Color are lackluster, and texts are not clear
I've purchased this device because it's relatively close to 6 inch form factor and it's octa core and it's color. Well, it's really doesn't satisfy any of the functions and overall it's very mediocre device. Foremost, OS is horrible compared to boox ereader. It's chinese character intervention is pronounced, and it's not very easy to customized. Color is understandable but overall text quality is even worse much cheaper device. I've tried to return to bigme but they ask me to ship it back to them with my own expense and they are charging 15% restocking fee. It's also hard to get a hold of them and not really freindly in customer service. Update: They initially asked me for shipping and restocking fee, but customer rep responded and decided to offer free return shipping without restocking fee. I've reevaluate the review to add one star due to the responsiveness of the customer service. ... show more

Bought it for manga and android. It's easy to use, colors are a little off but great for eink, love the availability to select the quality and Brightness of the screen, the size is perfect for manga, and the price is not so bad.
