I just got my Kindle Scribe, and I didn't like how the pen sat on the side of the device, so I wanted a case that was cute, functional, and could hold the pen. This case does all three! I will say the elastic is kind of malleable on the top, so I can see it fraying over time or have the pen wiggling around periodically, but for my casual use of reading at home, this suits me just fine! The case does have a molded plastic holder on the inside but unlike my old cover, 1)you can charge while it's closed 2)the pen has its own home on top (my old case it had to sit next to the power button and it discharged as soon as I could charge it). So I am giving this product 4 stars for its sturdy construction, and quality materials. It looks amazing in person and I have nothing bad to say about it except I find it way too heavy for me to use. It at least doubled the weight of the Kindle Scribe to the point that I returned this and the Scribe as it was too heavy and bulky for my needs. This case is fabulous! My new Kindle Scribe nestles inside it perfectly. It is very secure and did not fall out when I vigorously jogged, jiggled, and dropped it from a height of 5 feet onto a wood floor. The hole for the charging plug is properly placed, and the cover protects the other button when it is closed, yet allows you to easily access it when opened. The magnetic clasp is strong and consistently turns the Scribe on and off when open and closed. The case allows for the pen to magnetically attach as usual, but there is also a fabric loop at the top that stretches to hold it securely in place if you are looking for added security. I wish that the loop was on the side so that the pen could have the combined protection of the loop and the magnetic attachment at the same time, but it's not really an issue. The case itself is very slim and lightweight but still substantial and provides excellent protection for such an expensive piece of electronic equipment. Considering the fact that it is significantly less than the other Scribe covers that are currently available, I highly recommend this item. ... show more

It looks just like a notebook. And it holds very securely to the scribe. And it's slim, so it doesn't add much bulk to the device. I only returned it because I returned the scribe. After a couple of weeks, the scribe is just too big for reading. And I like to read in the tub and didn't feel safe bringing it in there since it's not waterproof like the paper white. ... show more

I panicked when I opened package and noticed only 1 medium size opening on the side (USC-C) and smaller one for the display light. I didn’t see an opening for power button and immediately thought this case is defected. All good. SMH. Nice feel to it. Adds a bit of weight. At least it seems like it to me. Pen holder nicely placed and holds well. I like Fintie products. I purchased one for my Kindle Oasis. First generation and still in perfect condition. Great products for the money. ... show more

I get lots of compliments on my case! I bought it because I wanted something that looked a little more discreet when I was at work and it's been great for that. However within the past month (I purchased in March and it's now August) it has started to fall apart, the magnets that keep it closed keep falling out, and the binding edge where you plug in the device is also starting to fray and fall apart. I cannot find a good case for this kindle!!! ... show more
