  • Making reading easier on this palm reader!
The BOOX Palma 2 Mobile ePaper is an impressive and practical device that I’m really happy with. Its sleek white design is clean and modern, and it’s light enough to carry around easily, making it perfect for reading or working on the go. The ePaper display is fantastic—easy on the eyes with sharp, clear text that feels like reading actual paper, even in bright sunlight. I love the fingerprint recognition, which makes unlocking the device quick and secure, and the smart button is intuitive for easy navigation. The dual speakers deliver surprisingly good sound for its size, perfect for listening to audiobooks or podcasts, and the microphones work well for voice commands. Plus, the battery life is amazing—it lasts for days without needing a charge, thanks to the energy-efficient ePaper screen. Overall, the BOOX Palma 2 is a versatile, high-quality device that combines great reading features with extra functionality, making it well worth the investment. ... show more

  • Wonderful device
I love this device, I can take it anywhere with me. One thing people need to realize this is NOT as durable as a phone, the screen is fragile like any other eink ereader device out there. Screen protectors wont help much if at all. Get yourself a good protective case for it and be careful with it. I love that I can read from any and all ebook platforms that have an app. I'm not stuck with buying ebooks from just one place. I'm fairly new to ereaders, but I've tried many brands and Boox is by far the best ones I've tried so far. ... show more

  • A necessity for busy readers
I work a lot. I don't work at a desk either. Im in a vehicle for 12+ hrs most days of the week. And when I am home, I am busy being a mom. Drop offs, pick ups, doc appts, bath time, bed time, you name it. This little guy is perfect for all of it. I have a 6in kindle as well. And I dont mind it too much, but its heavy. It fits in a pocket of my work pants but doesnt offer room for much else. And tbh, its width makes it hard to hold for extended periods. The palma 2 is much better suited for my needs! As an apple owner, getting used to android was a small bump in the road. But having more platforms to download books, more features in general than a kindle, the audiobook and music option, I could go on. But. For those asking... "why not use your phone?" - I use my phone for literally everything but reading books. The battery has to last me all shift or I'm fighting for one of 2 chargers that also charge my partners phone and 3 other truck devices. I have adhd, so using my phone means leaving my book every time it dings or tempts me to check socials, and to be honest, it doesnt give the same satisfaction as an e-ink screen when reading. If youre on the fence, just take the plunge. Its worth it. ... show more

  • Very nice ereader
You will very much like this e-paper screen. It is portable, reliably usable functionality and sound quality. It refreshes quickly and also has excellent use of the google play store almost out of the box. Excellent

  • Not user friendly. Horrible Functionality.
I purchased the worthless white BOOX PALMA 2. If you are using this product for READING ONLY….get a Kindle basic along with LIBBY/HOOPLA etc. the setting of each individual setting every time you use device is ridiculous. Too much this and that just to read a book!!! A lot of ghosting. Too much resetting with each use. It’s like having a cell phone in your hand. Too small for my liking. And let’s not mention the PRICE!! OMG!! I kept it for a week and returned. Not for “me”. You do you if you just “want” this thing. It’s definitely not a “need”! It may be “purse” size like a cell phone, but my kindle basic travel the same. So, imo, worthless and cheaply made. I “thought” I wanted this based if Tik Tok views. I was WRONG!! Beware….functionality and lag is horrible!!!! Trust me, a lot of these devices will be returned. ... show more

  • Kindle who?
I absolutely love this thing. It has the same form factor as my phone, is lighter weight than my kindle, I have KOreader on it, and I can add other apps I like to use like my journal app or sudoku. It’s a perfect respite away from lcd screens and phone notifications. It’s definitely not a phone, and you shouldn’t expect it to be one. But as an eink device it’s awesome. I use it everyday and it took about 6 days for the battery to get to 20% from the 80% it arrived charged at. I have all but abandoned my Kindles, which for the last 10 years have been my pride and joy. I can’t imagine going anywhere without my Palma 2 at this point. I have it on me more often than my phone even, and I’m reading more than I ever have before. If you aren’t sure, this is your sign to go ahead and pull the trigger. For reference, Palma 1 cases do fit the Palma 2, but cover up the fingerprint reader in the power button. So if you are planning to use that feature (not required unless you set it up) opt for the official cases, or alternatively buy a Palma 1 case that you can cut the power button cover out of. Otherwise, the Palma 1 cases fit great on the Palma 2 (as long as you don’t plan to use the fingerprint reader). ... show more

  • Great concept; poor quality control
The software is well-optimized for an e-ink display, and the hardware offers a good balance of size and weight. However, the device suffers from significant quality control issues. The first unit I received had an uneven frontlight, with the top half showing a subtle but noticeable difference in shade compared to the bottom. The second unit had a misaligned screen that slanted slightly upward when viewing content from left to right. Now, I’m left deciding whether to keep one of these or gamble on a third replacement. ... show more
