Update - Ok, I have had this thing for 6 months now and I need to update to 5 stars. This thing is the energizer bunny of pool skimmers. It just runs and runs and runs. My pool has never looked better in the last 10 years. Nothing floats on the top; this thing runs around all day and most of the night (all maybe?). I look before I go to bed, it is running, I look when I wake up, it is running. It seems to never stop. It is in Florida sun all day but my last one (mentioned below) did not run all night like this thing does. I am truly impressed with my little Betta. ************************************************* I have had this for about 4 months now. I have a screened in pool but struggle with surface stuff that I do not want to run my inline skimmer for. It is just "always there". This little bot does a pretty good job. It runs all by itself, completely random, and does a good job of keeping the surface clean. Very easy to maintain and clean. Not sure I have used the remote other than the first day to try it. I just left it in the pool and let it do its thing. I did have an issue about month ago (3 months in) where it seemed to not be running anymore, it just kind of "floated" with the current of the return jets. When I finally looked at it, sure enough it was not running (despite being in full sun for many hours a day). I pulled it out, turned it off, cleaned the basket (which did not have a lot in it) and turned it back on. It has been running nonstop ever since. I pull it once a week, clean the basket of the little stuff it has collected, and drop it back in. It is a little pricey, I think it could be a little cheaper (I paid $399 for it) but overall, a good little device. They could leave out the remote and charge less. But overall, it is worth it. My last one (an Ariel Solar Breeze) only lasted about 1 1/2 years, hopefully this one lasts longer. ... show more

    • A real game changer for the cleanliness of our pool!!

This little machine is a work horse!! It has totally changed the look and cleanliness of our pool. We have a lot of oak trees and palm trees around the pool so we ALWAYS had a layer of something on the top of our pool. Whether it was a layer of pollen from the palm trees or leaves from the oak trees, our pool always had stuff on the top. Whenever we wanted to swim, I would have to first pull out my pool skimmer and skim the entire top of the water. However, now that we have this little guy, I NEVER have to skim the top of our pool and it always looks beautiful! I mean honestly, I think this is the best purchase I've made on Amazon. Our pool always looks clean now. I wish I had known about this product years ago. It really does make a huge difference in how our pool looks. And, this guy never stops! He is always working! I've owned my own business for the past 20+ years and I've had a lot of employees over the years. When I go out back and watch this guy working, I think to myself: " This is the best employee I've ever had!" lol. I mean, you buy it once and you're done. No additional payroll, no payroll taxes, he's not calling in sick or just not showing up, and he NEVER complains, lol. Now of course since it's solar operated there are days where it won't work. But those days are few and far between as we live in Southern California. But even on cloudy days it still works great as it doesn't require full sun to get charged. It just runs and runs almost 24/7. The durability is amazing. I've had this since August, 2023 and it still runs the same as it did the day that we got it. If you have a pool you NEED this product! It will keep the top of your pool free of leaves, dust, dirt, pollen, etc. It feels so much nicer jumping into a pool with a PERFECTLY spotless top layer, rather than having to first skim it and hope I got everything. If you want to look at and swim in a clean pool, you really should buy this wonderful machine. ****Update**** It's now 9/25/2024 and my Betta is still running as strong as it was the day I received it! I'm still super happy with this purchase and I am constantly recommending it to all of my friends & family who have pools. The only critique I've had is that sometimes it would get stuck in the skimmer when my pool filter was running. I noticed that they are now including an "anti-stuck foam noodle" to fix this issue. So, I called the company and spoke with Hector. I told him about my issue and he said he would be shipping out the anti-stuck foam noodle in today's mail.
