I got this to detangle my sons hair but unfortunately it wasn’t sturdy enough to really get through is curly coils. He is very tender headed and this comb did not help him at all, he actually asked me to use the attachment piece that came with this comb which defeats the purpose of this comb since it’s marketed for its flexibleness. I used it on my hair and made a bit of progress but I felt like it was more work because of the amount of times I had to go over the tangles just to get each comb to touch my scalp. I ended up grabbing my regular blue comb in the end. Even through it didn’t work for us it might work for you. ... show more

I just recently got a wavy perm, so I'm fairly used to curly hair and the maintenance routines. I had no idea how quickly my hair can get tangled and almost matted while I'm asleep. I read some of the reviews on this brush and boy, were they not wrong. This brush is super cool and the multiple rows separate to make it easy for the brush to glide through the hair I guess. I'm not sure how this magical item works, but it completely detangled my hair within SECONDS and without any pain! No pulling, no tugging, just easy brushing! 100/10 recommend! ... show more

3.5 stars - I like how flexible & soft & no metal tips this brush is; the main reasons I bought it. I would rate it higher if the brush/comb was a tad smaller because somehow the corner always hits my scalp if not careful, due to the curvature of the brush I guess since the scalp is not curved at all angles. I am probably 3A curly. Irish curls and waves mixed in. This has been a game changer for me. On wash day, will section out and start from the bottom tips. Use the brush in a vertical fashion first on the tips and get the knots out before you go up to the root. Feels a little unusual at first but makes total sense once you do it. Work your way up to the root and then turn the brush like you normally would and brush out the section. I do this in sections and then flip my head over and brush out from underneath. My hair feels stronger with less breakage after only using this for months now. The flexible bendy bristles help move through the hair in a more natural way vs all the tines pulling together like a typical brush. You control the tension and direction so much more with this. There's many other detanglers out there but the design of this one is unique and works! ... show more
