Finally found a power strip that does everything I need. It replaces a regular power strip (of course), as well as several USB power supplies, even including a fast charge power supply for a Samsung phone. One thing that really irritates me is USB power supplies that supply less than the full 10W (2.1 amp) maximum. Ever plugged your phone in and saw that it was discharging faster than it was charging? This is the reason. Some USB power supplies might put out as low as 0.5 A, which is really not enough for most electronics. ALL of the USB ports on this power strip supply the full 2.4 A and the quick charge port even more. If you have an RV, this power strip is great since you don't need to worry about bringing along various chargers or finding places to plug everything in. We leave this strip in the RV, along with a few charging cables and it does everything we need very conveniently. The other nice part about this particular device is that the 120V plugs are spaced apart such that it's possible to install multiple "wall warts" without crowding out the adjacent plug. If you want a good power strip, don't buy this one. If you want a GREAT powerstrip, by all means get this power strip. I can not imagine how many power strips I have had over the years, but at home and at work. All of them served the purpose of power distribution and some isolation of power spikes. I can only think of a few that have failed over the years. However, I was looking for something that had the 2.4 Amp charging ports. The conventional charging bricks that come with most devices was "...driving me a bit bonkers...". They were large and bulky necessitating multiple strips to serve the same purpose. The designers of this product likely had experienced the same problem. He or she put some effort of thought into this unit. - The receptacles are space appropriately. - The ground of each plug is faced to the outer edge on both sides - many power strips do not do this which further creates problems - Each plug has plastic inserts that guard against probling little fingers, or objects from dropping into the holes and creating a shock hazard. The plastic inserts cause a little effort when plugging in a cord, but it is well worth it. - The USB ports have both 2.4 amp and 1.0 amp and provide continuous amperage (I tested this) to my devices when they all are plugged in. - The cord is very heavy duty and of ample length (6 ft) - Pilot lights for the internal breaker and power is the right size (not blinding for night vision) and the led indicator for the USB is a nice touch I cannot speak to the surge protection as I just got it, but given that my older ones are questionable (at best), I am optimistic that this quality unit will live up to expectations handily. What matters in a power strip you may say? A lot when you go to use it and it isn't designed properly. This is a very good unit and worthy of the price point. I did a good amount of research when picking a power strip to have in my living room. I needed two, so I decided to order this one and see if I liked it – mainly because it had good reviews and appeared to be versatile. It was packaged really nicely and overall I have been impressed. I liked that there were slots for USB cables, and the rectangular shape of the strip was ideal for the space I needed it in. I bought a second to put across the room where I have it sitting under a couch - it makes it easy to charge my laptop, phone etc. when I am on that side of the room. I liked the white color because I have white carpet, but I believe they have black as an option too. I decided last week that I wanted another one of these in the basement in my TV room so I can charge my laptop, etc. when down there too. These are a little on the pricey side, but so far I have been really happy with the quality and appearance. I also like that you can switch them off when they're not in use - with the red on/off switch. Would highly recommend! ... show more

I have upgraded to 4 stars due to the very responsive customer service. They refunded the purchase price for all the units I for which I requested refund. We still do not understand the cause of the USB failure--maybe a mismatch with equipment or quality control. The outlet design is great but the USB problem was a deal-breaker for me. Previous Review The USB outlets failed on one of the 7 units we purchased in under 90 days. It is outside the Amazon return window. Just contacted the company and will try to update this review per their response. Note: there are 2 versions of this: 1. Power strip only. 2.Surge protector. This was one of the power strips. Otherwise nice units. USB C outlet, if functioning, is great to have. The AC outlets remain functional. The other power strips have not been used frequently enough to know if they are OK. We like the weight, which helps with plugging and unplugging. If mounted on a wall, be sure to anchor in wood or with anchor bolts. Just disappointed in the USB port quality so far. Update: customer service was very good about replacing the defective unit. Unfortunately, it also failed. They then refunded my money for the unit. I tested yet another unit and the USB ports also failed. The company has agreed to refund the remaining units. I trust they will follow through. If not, I will update this again. I will increase to three stars due to customer service. As I mentioned, I am pleased with the units in every respect except for the failures. Unfortunately, that is a dealbreaker for me. ... show more
