Really great hose for the money. I have several different hoses around the house. One in the front, the back, on the side of the house.....the expandable variety, a metal one. I like all of them. The new style expandable with the rubberized outside work great. I have those for lawn touch ups to get spots the sprinkler heads miss and also use them for the timed planter boxes that run to dripper hoses. the metal one works great for the hose reel. The expandable wouldn't be great in a reel. I have been switching out hoses for the power washer, which isn't ideal and a bit cumbersome, so I got this one. It is perfect to connect the power washer to the water supply. It doesn't kink and rolls and unrolls pretty easily, which is important for the power washer. This one comes with extra connection grommets that help prevent leaks. Also the spray head is awesome. It has a ton of different settings from drip, flat, shower, etc. A perfect spray for a variety of different watering jobs. My only complaint is that the primary color green spray head clashes hard with the day glow yellow and teal hose. Bllleccccch. Luckily, I can put that on another hose since this one is going to the power washer. Lol. ... show more

I really rely on hoses for my animal care since I don’t have spigots in every location I need them. This is a pretty colored hose. Now that it’s winter it sticks out but in the green lush grass it will be able to camouflage better. The hose is simple to hook up and with the washer it does not leak. So far so good...The hose seems very flexible. So far the hose has not kinked. I like the fact that it has brass fittings. Hoses with brass fitting are much easier to unscrew from the faucet spigot. These days I prefer softer hoses like this one. I don't seem to trip on this type as much. The stiffer hoses will sometimes roll under foot causing me to trip. The softer hoses give way and prevent me from tripping. The hose comes with a spray nozzle that has various spray settings. The spray nozzle does not seem to be of a very high quality. At a visual glance, I'm not confident the spray nozzle will hold up to my rigorous gardening chores. Time will tell though. We will see how the hose holds up to the various seasons. For reference I've included pics of both this new nozzle and my old nozzle both connected to my commercial 3/4" hose and set on full and jet. I was anxious to get this mostly for the nozzle since I have multiple spigots with hoses and, with all the spray settings including my favorites, jet, full, and shower, I could keep this new hose and nozzle on one. Visually, right out of the box, both looked pretty good. When shopping for and deciding on a new hose or nozzle there are things I specifically look at after deciding on length and diameter. For the hose I look at the fittings for a nice flat machined sealing surface. I discovered the importance of that years ago when hooking up campers when traveling for work. RV parks hate seeing a leaking fitting, even a slow drip, and the old standard hose fittings don't seal well or for long. This new hose had nice flat sealing surfaces. I also look to see the inside diameter is true to the outside diameter as some of the "as seen on tv" flex or "pocket hoses", as I call them, are often advertised as 3/4" when the inside is usually 1/2" at best drastically reducing the flow. This hose is true to size. Good flow. Nice no-leak seal. However, I wouldn't call it "kink free". It feels there is more PVC than rubber. The fittings are not solid brass, only plated to look like brass. The main concern there is that these will corrode over time most likely leading to leaks. I'd rate the hose as average. The nozzle looked like it would be good, had a nice feel to it, and, looking into the throat looked only slightly restrictive as it was wide open at one point but a little more narrow perpendicularly. There were plenty of settings, easy to adjust. But, I attached it to my known good hose and was very disappointed. The shower setting was acceptable for watering plants but that was it. I had to find out why so I took it apart. Other nozzles I've taken apart for cleaning out the nozzles or replacing seal were pretty simple. This one was difficult and, as I figured, once I got the white inside piece popped out I lost the little "click lock" piece. Fortunately for me I had another. Fortunately for you I went to the trouble. The pics show what I found. The white piece is one solid piece. The center hole, where the water comes through, is very small. Before I got it apart I was hoping to find it was something I could modify. With this you can't as that is the valve seat and enlarging the hole would cause it to leak permanently. I'll only be keeping the nozzle for the spare "click lock" and in hopes the handle will work on another in case I break one. Maybe for watering plants. I'd rate the nozzle as poor. ... show more

This hose is functional for what I need. I needed a basic garden hose that is needed to water a few plants. I like that this includes the hose and the attachment nozzle which makes it easy to use. The hose is flexible and not too heavy or stuff. I don't feel this is very heavy duty but it works for my needs of light gardening. I also don't have it in the direct sun so that should help with the durability. If you need something heavy duty that will be dragged over rocks etc, then this might not be for you. But my yard is small and doesn't have any sharp rocks so this works for me. ... show more
