I've purchased similar items for the past three years and been satisfied (usually in sizes from 1 quart to 1.5 gallons). This is the largest size I've purchased in this material; the size is quite large. I would estimate this is equivalent to about a 3-gallon grow bag. Just transplanted a few plants today they opened, stayed open for filling with soil, and seemed sturdy for now when filled with soil and a plant. The long term durability for the weight this will have to carry at 3-gallon size is unknown, but this is a very cost effective 3 gallon grow bag that should last at least one season and allow easy transplanting when I move my plants from their current location in a holding bed to their final location in my garden while keeping the root ball in-tact. ... show more

These look to be great, It was a little bit of a pain to plant in we’ll transplant into because it’s a soft bag and doesn’t stand up . I had some plastic I suppose anything would work but plastic I had and water would not hurt it . Anyway I like them better now but it was probably just me that needed something to hold them open , I’ll include a picture of what I did and it helped me a lot and was easy to do . I love the bags texture and the fact that they are decomposable but they are smaller than I needed for repotting my sprouted Dahlia bulbs. Ordered the 9x9 and by golly that's what I got but that's a smidgen to small for comfortable rooting.

These nursery bags are 9cm about 1/2 gallon size and perfect for pheno hunting and/or intermediary postings - the bags are strong and hold up well even when bottom fed - they retain moisture and do not restrict the roots from piercing through - If you wanted to up-pot the plants the whole of the plant and pot can be buried and the roots will continue to grow through into the new media without shock - Wonderful quality and inexpensive enough to use abundantly. ... show more

I think the price could be better for these. And I am not sure that roots can penetrate these bags. But I have so many seeds and cuttings I bought these for some of my smaller plantings. They work better than I thought they would.
