If you like a softer pillow, this item might work well for you. I like a firm pillow myself so I found it a little soft. The material is well made and it is a larger size so you may need larger pillow cases.

Not sure what their definition of cooling is, but this pillow does not have it. Plus it is so huge that I had to see my chiropractor to fix my neck and upper back after sleeping on it for a few nights. I only use it for propping behind my back when I read in bed. Would not buy this again.

    • Nice, everyday pillow--light-weight & of medium thickness & firmness; but not luxurious
I ordered this pillow for my daughter. It looks nice and the piping adds a nice accent. She prefers a light-weight pillow. She wanted something that was not exactly soft, but not too firm, and she didn't want it to be too thick. This pillow looked to be a bit on the small side for a queen-sized pillow but my daughter likes that it isn't too big or bulky. It was a little thick at first, but she has been sleeping on it for several weeks, and she says it is fine now (but not flattened). She finds it quite comfortable and her head doesn't sink in too far when she lies down. She feels that it offers good support. The fabric cover feels smooth but not as nice as cotton would be. It also seems rather thin and is not all that durable. Once the pillow is inside a cotton pillowcase, it feels pretty good, though. The pillow arrived vacuum sealed as seems to be usual these days, and it plumped up nicely and she let it air out overnight even though she didn't notice any particular smell. Although there is nothing exceptional about this pillow and it is not particularly luxurious (contrary to the description and regardless of the title referring to this as a luxury pillow) the price does seem reasonable for an everyday pillow. ... show more
