Ordered this for my disabled husband. It lasted about 6 weeks and quit working. I have been on the phone to JLA several times asking me to wait that replacements were coming. So far, no replacements. I called yesterday only to be told there’s nothing JLA can do and I need to contact Amazon to return it. The Amazon instructions say to contact JLA. How do I return it? So not fair to the consumer to go thru this labyrinth. I always thought Beautyrest to be of a good brand. It was given a 4.5 star rating. I don’t see how this can be. I also had two of their electric blankets I purchased local before the virus. I had to return because they quit working. This is so frustrating! ... show more

I bought this mattress pad because my husband likes it very cool when he sleeps, but he sleeps like a rock. I on the other hand am up several times through the night and felt like I was freezing. I purchased this and of course it goes over the entire bed, but I only hooked up the controls to my side since it has dual controls. I did as suggested and plugged the control unit at the bottom of the bed and ran the cord under the bed for the unit to come out by my head. Sometimes I would feel the control unit with my feet like a hard lump but then I would just move my feet a few inches and it never bothered me. The heating capability is excellent. I initially started with a 3 and I was pretty toasty but I found often I could keep it all the way down to 1 and be comfortable. I explained to him since he went to bed first it was his job to turn it on and make sure the bed was warm and comfy before I got in! I would shut it off in the morning but it has an auto shutoff if you forget. We are both very comfortable now sleeping in our bed. I do also have a mattress protector and I put this on the bed underneath it and never had a problem. I have removed it now for the summer but I expect to put it back on when winter returns. ... show more

This pad is very comfortable and fits the queen mattress well, but I bought it for the heat, and there's the problem. The 1st pad I ordered worked great on the right side but not the left because nobody sleeps there. If I set it on 3 and preheat, that side needs a heavy line of pillows down the middle to heat it. This means if you are alone on one side of the bed and roll over, you're cold for15 mins until it senses you. I liked my side but thought the other side was a fire hazard or the whole thing was defective. I exchanged it for the same model, am having the same problem, plus my new side is cold on #1 and hot on #2. I'll probably return it and try a diferrent brand. This pad fits my mattress perfectly. I cannot feel the wires. The plug in connector is located where you cannot feel it with your feet. It warms my bed quickly. I could not be better satisfied with this item. I hope it lasts a long time.

I'm not like most people because I don't like too much heat when it's cold so my thermostat never rises past 68 degrees. However there's nothing like getting into a toasty bed at night. Strange as it seems, I have my pad turned up to 5 and it feels so good especially when you're aching. I love being able to switch pillows and its warm and cozy. I have had plenty of good sleep since my Beautyrest Heated Mattress Pad arrived and I look forward to getting in bed every night! ... show more

I love this. I'm able to keep the thermostat low, and still get into a warm bed. I recommend placing the connection at the head of the bed, otherwise the control must sit on the floor. Arrived Jan 15th and I finally put on my bed today(7 days later). Fits great, looks nice and thick and the deep pocket corners are great. I haven't tried the warmth yet. Will tonight. I'm a bit unhappy with the heated pad because it looks like it has thick gear grease on it. Its stained and won't come out and is how it arrived. The grease was discovered straight out of the package when I was putting it on to my bed. Photos included. It would be nice if the manufacturer did the right thing. If so I'll come change my review.
