This is a great item. Takes a bit to get used to. The end cap gets warm to hot so be aware of that while styling. I read reviews that this stopped working for some people after a short time. I was visiting someone and plugged this in and it didn't work. I thought it was already broken. I took it and plugged it into another type of outlet. It worked perfectly. This seems temperamental about power source. I have used this almost every day since I bought without noted decrease in function. The media could not be loaded. I bought this over a year ago and love it as much or more than as I did when I bought it! I have used a brush dryer for as long I can remember. My one dislike of brush dryers was that it required two hands: one to hold the dryer, one to “coax” the hair onto the brushes, and then both hands together to rotate the brush to wrap the hair. When my last brush dryer died, I went on the hunt for a new one. I tried the currently-trending oval ionic dryer brush (not allowed to name the brand), but I found it way too bulky and unwieldy, so I returned it. Then I found this Beautimeter hot air spin brush. To be totally honest, I didn’t realize it had MOTORIZED spin until I unboxed it, plugged it in, and discovered the spin control button. Imagine my delight when I discovered this! That motorized spin is a game-changer. That rotating brush grabs my hair like a Black Friday closeout sale, then winds it up tight. Not only do I no longer have to manually spool my hair onto the brush (a two-handed affair), but with a little practice I could dry, smooth, and gently curl my hair all with one hand. I still use a second hand as a helper, but even when I had shoulder surgery I still did a decent job of styling my hair. I will concede that this may not work as well on all hair types or cuts. I have a lot of hair, but it is pretty straight and fine. It’s cut with long layers; I tend to curl the top layer inwards, and then flip the under layers outwards. This brush creates plenty of smooth volume in just minutes (see video). I also find the dryer brush works better on damp rather than fully wet hair. Wet hair is heavy and doesn’t glide as well through the brushes, which pulls hard against the spin mechanism and motor and may contribute to the breakage some users have experienced. I find it instead easier and quicker to partially dry my hair with a conventional dryer, then apply my styling product (a light mousse or gel) and finish it with the Beautimeter spin brush. At the time that I bought this, it seemed to be the only type of dryer brush with the motorized spin feature. It seems to have caught on, because some other brands have come up with their own versions. But Beautimeter should get credit for innovating this terrific product, and if I ever have to buy another one, I would buy this one again! ... show more

Compared to my other roller dryer was not impressed with this on- The brush kept getting caught in my hair - It was easy to use but found it didnt do the job lijke my other dryer-The brush head is hard plastic and did not seem to dry to hair well and had to keep going over my whole head of hair to get it dried ... show more

I’m returning the hot air brush for a couple reasons. My hair is chin-length and I thought the smaller brush would suit it better, but that brush wouldn’t grab my hair well. The larger brush had long rubber-tipped bristles that held it better, but I wanted more lift and bend than that size gave me. Also, when I used the rotating function, it seemed to pull my hair while it was rolling and then when I stopped that function, there was too much play in the brush to hold the brush tightly to the root. I didn’t notice any cool air coming out in the COOL setting either. The warm temps were good though and it wasn’t unusually noisy while running at any setting. I find that my old hot air dryer without a rotating function worked much better for my hair. ... show more

This was my first rotating hair dryer and it did a pretty good job of drying and straightening my medium length, naturally wavy hair. I mainly used it on the low setting, but about 9 months into use it stopped spinning in one direction, and 13 months after purchase it just stopped during my blow out and never started again. I have nothing but good things to say about this brush. I have ethnic hair, so I was a little undecided. I am glad I bought it. I don't need any other dryer, and my hair looks very healthy so obviously is not breaking it. The secret for coarse hair is to take very little at a time. And I don't even need a flat iron after. I wasn't sure of it since all the TikTok videos I saw of it, was for girls with short hair. but it does the job beautifully on my shoulder length hair. Very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

My Revlon blow dryer brush finally decided to take a crap on me so I decided to look for something different I came across this and I was like huh this could be interesting It will either work or it'll tangle my hair! Boy was I amazed at how easy this was to get the handle of and the fact that it comes with two barrel sizes and it doesn't get tangled in my hair! I also get more volume and more waves than I ever did from my Revlon blow dryer brush! I've only been using this for 4 days and I absolutely love it!! The other upside is my wrist doesn't hurt after spending the time blow during my hair because I don't have to constantly turn my wrist to get the waves and curls. This is my first product like this and I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but have used it daily. I like it a lot. I wish there was a smaller option that would be more travel friendly, but ... we can't have everything. The two improvements I recommend Beautimeter consider is adding a concentrator nozzle to allow one to dry the roots of their hair more quickly and/or without using a different hair dryer (I currently just use the larger brush head for this, but it would be faster and easier with a concentrator nozzle). If there was an accessory one I could buy that was compatible, I would buy it. Secondly, I think the smaller brush head would benefit from the longer rubber bristles like the larger brush head has. But this is less important than the concentrator nozzle. ... show more
