I'm going to tell you this you're very likely not going to know what you are doing with the sound settings and moreover out of the box it's great but you can really find tune exactly how you want to sound with this thing. Do not underestimate that. Definitely a fantastic MIC! the built-in noise suppression is top tier and I really love the fact that I can yell and not have it clip or blow anyone ear off due to the built-in technology in the mic itself. Might seem like an oddball purchase or niche Mic but the truth is is there's not enough mics like this one. This is truly a mic in its own class and you have to treat it that way. And being that this is the first gen of this mic, the sound equalizer to shape how you want it to sound is definitely a learning curve - and bit overwhelming but with a lot of YouTube videos practice and watching the same YouTube videos over the last year I've been able to just patiently sit down and figure it out. If you are an audio engineer or are familiar with equalizers you shouldn't really have an issue and you will probably really like this out of the box. If you are new to the mic game to be completely honest it might be simpler for you to just go with a shure or something else but the truth is if you're willing to sit there and learn it and figure it out it is top tier for the price. In my opinion if shure were to come out with the mic that had the same technology this has they would easily charge 500 plus dollars ... show more

So I had a condenser mic connect to a Yamaha mixer, but it was a cheap mic with an expensive mixer so wanted to upgrade and also get rid of the mixer because of all the cable mess. I went with the Hyper Squadcast, and for a time it was good, but not sufficient for what I wanted. I ended up having to install Voicemeter Potato to get the best out my pic, but again it was not enough. I wanted to have a mic that allowed me to do voice over, streaming, recording without having to get the Shure sm7 or whatever. This Beacn mic is the best mic you can spend your money on. No mixer, no cable mess, just an excellent mic with fantastic software. This mic was created by the guys who made the Goxlr, so the quality is up to par. I ended up getting the Beacn Mix Create as well, but just because I wanted to you don't actually need it since you get the software mixer with just the mic. Think about it this way, the Shure mic everyone have is $400 this mic is $270 and the Mix Create is $200 so for an extra $70 you are getting more than what you will ever need.     • Amazing Mic with some weird production choices for the price

I ordered this mic after countless reviewers I trust said how amazing it was. The mic itself is beautiful and sounds amazing, but after a few hours of use the mic just started randomly turning off while I was using it. It took me longer than it should have to realize that the included usb-c cable was the issue. Its a cheap usb cable and anytime I bumped the mic or moved my arm stand the mic would disconnect. for $300 you'd think they would include a nice braided cable. Don't get me wrong I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, but If you buy this mic be sure to buy a spare usb-c cable as this is a common issue with the mic. ... show more

I'm by no means an audiophile. When I bought this, I had just asked around with friends to see if this was a good one for someone like me - I don't particularly care about the most crisp audio of all time, but I want to have nice sounding audio for content creation. Thankfully, this microphone is exactly what I was looking for. No fancy XLR setup, no audio interface you need to deal with, no confusing wires or programs. It's USB C to USB C. Plugging it straight into my computer was a breeze. The software is minimal, very clean, and you can hear live changes using the built-in recording tool. My friend (who is an audiophile) thinks the software is incredible for that feature alone. For the price, this is pretty much the best quality USB microphone you can get. Anything past this generally requires a fancier setup, so if you're like me and don't care about that, pick this up! It will do you well and you won't complain. ... show more
