Super great product for antisocial creeps likes me. Nobody can see inside during the day, but I can have my door open so I can see what’s going outside. It really makes it so much easier to be nosy . It also allows me the opportunity to hide when people come to the door, because they can’t see in. Okay, people are complaining that it doesn’t work at night. Well, if you turn off all of your lights inside your house and just sit in the dark, it works perfectly. But if you’re doing that, maybe you need to stop online shopping and reconsider your life situation. It wasn’t difficult to install, and it seems to be staying on, no problem. I’d recommend using a spray bottle with a little bit of dish detergent mixed in with the water, and then spraying the heck out the door and film, while you’re applying it. This stuff is great! I put it on my two front facing bedroom windows that get brutal afternoon sun making my bedroom unbearable. As soon as I put it on I felt a difference in the room. I also put a scrap piece on my office window that gets morning sun and a terrible glare (pics attached). It was easy enough to apply, the tape trick to get the clear liner to separate definitely helps, otherwise it’s near impossible to get the clear liner off. Use lots of soapy water on the clean window and the shiny part of the tint and you should be good. Just don’t let the tint fold over on itself bc it sticks to itself and is then impossible to use! ... show more

This product is a great addition to my living room. The installation process was easy, straightforward and the included tools were convenient. It offers good heat and privacy control, making my living space more comfortable and energy-efficient. However, during installation, I had to be cautious with the backing, as it could stick to itself, resulting in waste. The included knife for cutting wasn't very sharp, leaving jagged edges. Overall, it's a good product, and I recommend it for a decent heat control with just a few installation considerations. As seen in the before and after pictures, it does seem to be good in filtering out light and reducing the heat, although I would have preferred a bit more heat control. ... show more

The film is very reflective and perfect for privacy, but as a result it’s also reflective inside which takes a bit to get used to. It’s also dark tint when looking from inside out (like sunglasses) but that was good for me as this is a south facing window that gets SUPER hot in summer. This should help a lot and still let me keep the blinds open. Definitely follow the instructions and use LOTS of soapy water so it slides on the glass and doesn’t stick to itself.     • Stops the heat
Installed this on the inside of a west facing basement storm door. The fiberglass basement door had cracked due to the setting sun heating the door. In order to prevent further damage the film was installed. As other reviewers noted, the glass should be spotless and use a liberal amount of soapy water when installing. The more water you use the easier film placement will be. Immediate relief from the glaring sun upon installation. Before installation the heat could be felt emanating from the closed basement door. Not now, amazing difference in temperature. Not crazy about the fact that I'm looking in a mirror from the outside but worth the shock of seeing your "yard work look" for the comfort. ... show more

    • Not dark enough & poor heat reduction
Easy enough to install on smaller windows. Larger windows might an extra set of hands. Barely blocks any more light than my see-through white curtains. Not helpful for heat reduction in the afternoon sun! Also difficult to trim neatly, and I wound up with several ragged edges.

*************Update: 12-26-18 ****************** Uh oh I don't know what happened. I don't know if the film absorbed too much sun or something but now it's impossible to see out my window because the film has darkened to an opaque mess. Even in the daytime with bright lights outside and no light inside the film remains a darkened mess. I literally can't see anything and will likely have to remove the film. Does anyone know why this happened? It worked perfectly fine for a couple of months. Makes me question the durability... ***Old review**** I really wanted privacy film that was inexpensive and easy to install and this was both. One roll covered both my room windows and I had plenty left over. I am not at all a home DIY person but after watching the manufacturer’s how to video and a few others on YouTube I felt prepared for install. In the box came a squeegee and exacto knife. I purchased a spray bottle and baby shampoo for my mix at the local Dollar store (be generous with your spray and you will have no cling problems). I set to work on an overcast day and definitely finished in under an hour. Miscellaneous Notes: - I cleaned the heck out of my windows the day prior and again before install. -My windows face south and they receive A LOT of sun and heat so I was worried about “thermal cracking” and south facing windows are a risk factor. -My windows are also dual pane which is another risk factor for thermal cracks -I leave my blinds and curtains completely open during the day to avoid trapping heat that can lead to thermal cracking -yes the mirror image is reversed at night so if I need to look outside I just turn off my room lights if I hear a noise and need to look outside. This does the trick So far so good. My film dried well and without bubbles. No cracks yet. Will update as needed ... show more
