Even though this was easy to install, I probably could have done it myself but I did have my husband to help. I wish I had measured the width and length of all windows before ordering. We ran out because I estimated. So now we had to take some over lap pieces and cut them off to reuse on another window.. it looks horrible inside where we had to do that but on the outside you can’t tell!!! We looked at the house in a bright sunny day with all the curtains open and we couldn’t see anything inside!!! It even the janky patch work we did lol!! Great product! So we had an assembly line. I roll the tint out and measure with the tape measured (make sure to measure just a tad bit over the required needed width). I taped down the end with painters tape then I sliced it with the box cutter. Next I put another piece of tape under one of the taped down ends and used it to separate the backing to easily peel off and reveal the sticky side. I sprayed the sticky side with windex (thoroughly). Then my husband transported the film to the window where I had already sprayed the window with windex as well and it was dripping. He put the windexed/ sticky side onto the window (horizontally). He then smoothed the bubbles out and we did not cut the excess off. Then Repeated. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was reluctant about buying this for my kid’s bedrooms, because I didn’t think it would make enough difference to be worth the installation effort. But I was juuust desperate enough to give it a shot, because their rooms become dangerously hot during the summer months (as they receive direct sunlight during a large portion of the day). Before I installed the tinting, when I would enter their rooms in the morning (9am ish) the heat was sweltering. If the boys were sleeping in (teenagers, what can I say), they were always glistening with perspiration, despite the black-out curtains and the number of box and oscillating fans in their respective rooms! Now that I have installed the tinting, upon entering their rooms, it’s still warm (it is still summer, after all), but now, it’s the kind of heat you can offset effectively with an oscillating fan (not the kind that might actually cause you to, like, pass out from heat stroke, HA!). I’m so impressed by the difference this product has made! I was also very pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t nearly as challenging to install as I had anticipated it was going to be! I installed it on my own, and I prioritized speed over perfection, and I still feel I did a passable job (and it didn’t take me more than about 20 min per window, from start to finish—each window being appx 30” x 40”). I wish I had measured the windows in advance rather than “ball-parking it,” because I did end up having to lay a few of pieces from the tinting roll next to one another horizontally in order to cover the entire window.... this left a visible seam, but that’s on me for my shoddy attention to detail when ordering (I should have ordered larger sheets of the tinting material). I love having my window blinds open durning the day but wanted privacy from people being able to look in. Plus I was always hot due to the windows being older. Love that this covers the windows and allows for privacy. I would order it again. Put it on my front glass window too so people couldn’t just look directly in. ... show more

I was very close to having the windows done by a professional Company, then my friend told me is 74 years old wife did their windows and they couldn't believe how much the professional we're going to charge! I ordered it to the size of the windows, came on time it was a good quality film easy to work with easy too install, somethings you gonna have to pay attention to and that is absolutely clean windows are a must! I bought 12"×50 ft film. arribe probably like 3 or 4 ft Long. Plus the tools where missing. Im very dissapointed. I send it back yesterday hopefuly get my money back soon and try another brand.
