I have a Canon Pixma MG 3022 that I bought for $13 on clearance and hate that when I put a new cartridge in I can print like 2 pages and the low ink light comes on. Granted it prints a while even with the low ink light on but still, cartridges can get crazy expensive especially whenever you're printing stuff regularly for college. I was hesitant about purchasing this because I had read some places that you needed a chip to reset the cartridge and all kinds of stuff. I watched a Youtube Video from the company about how to do it and decided for less than $10 I would take a risk with this. I honestly expected a major headache but it couldn't have been any easier. The hardest part about this was drilling the hole in the top which does require some patience. After you get the hole you just fill it up, pop the cartridge in and it worked perfectly. The only issue I did have was after one or two prints it said the cartridge was empty and wouldn't print but as stated in their video if you hold the stop button down for a couple of seconds it'll clear it out and print like normal. I would recommend gloves even before you open it because taking the cap off I got ink on my fingers and it took a couple of washes and a good scrub to get it off. ... show more

This is a compatible refill ink for Canon 245XL cartridges. The quality of the ink is great and it seems to last a bit longer than refills that I have purchased previously. I appreciate the included tool, as the first kit that I purchased from a different seller did not have one. The value of this product is awesome.     • It doesn't work
I watched the video and followed instructions. Popped off the lid from the ink cartridge (easy), removed the sponge and filled the ink chamber 1/3 full with black ink. Replaced the sponge, taped the lid back in place and installed the cartridge. Tried to print, almost nothing. Just faint black lettering in a few places, just like before I refilled it. (This cartridge had worked fine until it recently ran out of ink). I Put it through two printhead cleaning cycles, still no improvement. Removed it and soaked the printhead in warm water, then replaced it and tried to print again. Still nothing. Oh, when I first opened the bellows ink container, it squirted out ink under pressure. Made a mess. Even though it didn't cost much I'm returning it for a refund. Maybe I did something wrong, but I've refilled different brands in the past and it worked. I hope that others have better luck with this product. ... show more

    • Easy to Refill Ink but Ink Levels Still Show LOW
It was easy to refill the cartridge. It can be messy if you are not taking your time refilling. I used (1) entire bottle to refill one Canon "XL" printer cartridge, and the ink levels are still showing "very low". I did reset the printer, and all the diagnostics as required by the printer, but still showing very low ink levels. I was hoping the ink just needed more time to settle into the cartridge/sponge and for the level to reflect accordingly, but it's been a couple of weeks and it's still showing "very low". I've only printed ~5 times since refilling so I'm not sure how long the ink will last. Overall, for the time/headache, it most likely wouldn't be worth it to me to reorder a refill kit again if I've got to go through this process again so quickly after what I believed would be a "full refill". Will update the review/rating accordingly in a few days to see if there is any progress on this front. The quality of the ink is good, and I do appreciate that this kit came with all the tools necessary to refill (only exception was tape, but that's a common product in most households, so a non-issue in my book). ... show more
