The Bauerfeind sports compression knee sleeve has given really good compression. Make sure you measure accurately! It of course still may be too tight at first, but my experience with Bauerfeind knee braces shows with a few wears it stretches out a little and I need to wash them to get them back to right tighter fit. Don't put these in the dryer, that will ruin the elasticity of the compression sleeve air dry them. Now I've only ever used the knee braces, and they aren't as tight as these so, long term I'm not sure who this will do. I unfortunately am sending mine back as it made my pain increase while wearing it. Wrong item for my problem, I guess. Bauerfeind is a really good brand. My first brace was given to me by an orthopedic surgeon to prolong the need for surgery and it is working really well. ... show more

Amazingly great fit and support. I am an active 56 y/o and when my knee was injured, I did all the right things but still had pain when horseback riding (dressage). I tried a couple of tradition knee braces but they didn't stay in place during activities and then a friend suggested this company and their products. Right away, I noticed a difference in how I felt DURING the activity and AFTER the activity. I felt supported and then did not much pain after. There is some discomfort but that is due to the current injury and healing. This was the best support I found and I could keep enjoying the activities I love and not be stuck moping on the sofa. :) ... show more

Before purchasing I did the measurements to ensure I got the right size. The first time I used the brace for a run I went about 4 miles and no issues what so ever. The next day I go to go for a run and it would not stay up. I ran maybe 200 meters and it was falling off and not staying in place at all. I ended up having to take it off to run. I have tried so much to be able to run again to be told this brand is the best and it will help alleviate the pain from a partially torn Patella tendon to just disappointed. There is no way after 1 run that the elasticity is gone but if that is the case then shame on this company for not properly manufacturing to hold up as advertised. ... show more

This is the third brace like this I have had -made by BAUERFEIND- in the past ten years.
