This thing does not work as intended. I set the temp to 90°F and the pad will turn on full blast and heat until the pad hits 90°F and then cut off power. Then the pad will raise to about 105°F before it starts to cool down. The temp will drop all the way down to 72°F before it kicks on again. Essentially, the vacuum chamber is never at the 90°F I want it to be. For the majority of the time, the inside of the chamber is 75°F which is unacceptable. A better product would heat to 90°F and hold the temperature there constantly for an even vacuum chamber temp. Overall, disappointed in this product. ... show more

    • Easy to use this heat pad
Size: 6" Style: Fixed
First of all, it’s very convenient to use. It heats up fast too – 160F in 5mins. The instruction is clear and easy to understand how to adjust the default data in the controller. And secondly, most of the heating pads come with glue to stick it under the vacuum chamber but with this one, you can fit it directly to the chamber. Make sure you’re using the correct size of chamber. I got a 3 gallon vacuum chamber and a 5 gallon one. The heating efficiency wasn’t relatively good when you use 9” Bacoeng Vacuum Heating Pad for a 5 gallon vacuum chamber. Also be extremely aware of the offset temperature. For more details read the instruction. Let me point out an example. When you set the chamber temperature to 120F using the controller, the temperature of the chamber inside the surface would be around 111F. So now all you do is add 9F (9F Offset) to the controller i.e. change the controller reading from 120F to 129F. With this, you can achieve the 120F on the inside surface of the chamber. The heating performance is rapidly fast. The heating material is made of Etched metal foil/wire wound with a heater thickness of 1.5mm. And I noticed the silicone and rubber insulation. By the way, be careful not to touch the pads with your hands. At the moment when I purchased this heater, I was the first one to review it. Controller could use some upgrading. Display isn't secure, mystery button and it doesn't do a very good job of holding your set temp. Sways way over when heating and holds way low before turning on again.
