  • Worth the price
Size: 150ml
This alcohol burner works great. It is hard putting in the wick but it’s doable. Just wish the cover wasn’t such a thin plastic but it kills the flame

  • Perfect title for school laboratories
Size: 150ml
The material is of good quality and includes a funnel, which allows the container to be filled without the risk of spilling. It also comes with additional wicks that are easy to replace. I am very pleased with the product, which I use in the laboratory as a high school teacher. The packaging is well done. ... show more

  • Great replacement for bunsen burners
Size: 150ml
I bought these as a replacement for standard bunsen burners to use in a lab without a gas line. These work wonderfully for my needs. recommend.

  • Works but needs minor improvement
Size: 150ml
The media could not be loaded. I'm a practitioner and I use these alcohol burner for fire cupping. I needed an extra one for my other office so picked this one up for the price. The product itself has some minor issue hope the can fix on the future. One is the ceramic wick holder. Like few over reviewer mention Trying to get the wick through it was pain in the tooshi. I eventually had to take it to my office and use one of the tweezer to pull it through all the way. Ceramic wick holder is great to absorb the heat but it needs a rubber sealer or something to air tighten to the bottle so it doesn't spill if tip over and secondly so school doesn't evaporate. Also as you can see next to my older burner I can use the metal neck slide up and down the wick to control the flame where the new one does not have that function. You will need a tweezer to pull the wick itself up to make flame bigger and to lower flame you will need to put out the fire and take the wick cap off and pull it down. So that is not very convenient. Lastly the plastic cap. Who thought of using a plastic cap to put out a fire was a great idea? It should be ceramic or metal like my old one. It is nice that it comes with extra wick. Hint: I always use 95-99% isopropyl alcohol. Normal drug store ones won't burn well. Once you put in the alcohol you need to allow the wick to soak to the tip or you will be burning the wick dry. ... show more

  • Works as it is supposed to
Size: 150ml
No issues although I'll have to buy another. I knocked mine off the table and broke it

  • Even with 75% isopropyl, it won't stay lit
Size: 150ml
The design is basic, and looks fine, like it should work. But even with 75% isopropyl, it won't stay lit for more than a minute. It wicks just fine, but just won't stay lit. We have adjusted the wick, cut it, shaped it, everything I can think of. I've used alcohol burners before that worked great, and wanted another one that I could use to teach kids how to shape flint glass. But this thing just WON'T stay lit!! I assume it's the wick somehow. The photos showed a wick with a wire mesh (to hold a shape) but mine didn't have that, just cotton wicks. They should work fine, but they don't. Doesn't matter if I empty it and pour fresh alcohol into it, or if I put the cap on tight and come back to it later. I get orange flame for a few seconds, and then---snuffs itself out. I'm disappointed, but I had it a month before I tried using it. No refund for me. I have not tried 95% ethanol (Everclear is EXPENSIVE) or 99% isopropyl alcohol (which is in SHORT/non-existent supply nowadays), but when I used these as a young buck, 70% was all that was available--and they worked great. This one, for whatever reason, just DOESN'T. ... show more

  • Why a plastic cap?
Size: 150ml
I returned this because I thought the cap was ceramic or glass; how please would you snuff out the flame? The plastic cap didn’t fit to seal the top of the lamp so it wouldn’t prevent alcohol evaporation. Not sure of the purpose. Otherwise the lamp was made of glass of a nice thickness, the wick holder ceramic and held the wick sturdy, and there were extra wicks in this set. Non adjustable but I didn’t bother lighting once I saw the cap of unknown function. ... show more
